You dont need to be in a gym 24 hours a day. A pro trainer can put 15 pounds of explosive muscle working 5 days a week 1.5 hrs tops in 6 months. And more importantly learn the post moves. How bg was Kevin Mchale? 215 pounds maybe 220? How big is Gasol 225 when he came into the NBA?

More mid range shots and post up moves, less 3 pointers. I notice before this game that Krispy hesitated a lot at the 3 point line

I disagree....he's too light in the ass right now to bang all day against stronger guys in the post. As a rookie, he's basically a tall shooting guard with post up potential, and blind side block potential. As he gets stronger, he will develop into a strong post up player, who can absorb those bangs down low and still have the energy for his outside shot. Right now, he can't be relied on to do both bang down low and shoot outside. Otherwise he will have more days like today in his rookie year. His advantage right now is shooting outside, where there is less banging. Don't worry, he will get stronger and become a mid range post up player, but bringing a big outside the paint not only gives him an advantage, but it gives Melo room to operate 1 on 1, without worrying about a center blocking his shot.

Im sorry I dont believe in the defeatist pssy attitude. Get stronger over the next 5 months and learn the post. Think back when you were 20--you were probably near your peak strength. 5 months is a LONG time a pro trainer can have him at 250 and wiry strong in that time. I want to see some jack in 5 months and I want to see post play incorporated. Thats it.

There is NO way this guy should gain 20 pounds in the next 5 months. That is F'n CRAZY!!! He can definitely get stronger in the next 5 months and he will. He stated he never lifted weights before. Im sure the Knicks will have him work with a trainer and he will get stronger. But 20 pounds in 5 months , NO WAY. Maybe he gains 20 pounds in the next 3-4 years. Sorry Briggs, I do agree with you a lot but you are way wrong here.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

I agree. Setting a drastic weight gain target for a 19 year after three summer league games based on the assumption that he cant fit an old school stereotype which may not even be relevant anymore is a really bad idea.

Ndour should take less jsys. He has pretty good footwork and I would like to see him take advantage of thst especially against smaller pfs

It was 13 - 2 when fisher took both KP and Grant out......it created a momentum shift where everything went downhill from there. KP and Grant are your best players....13-5 he takes Early out whos our leading scorer in SL. From that poibt forward i think we missed like 20 something attempts.....i think Fisher is the one that should be on the hot seat this year. Than....ndour....kirk....on the floor together. No half court offense in that line up. I believe Fishers substitution caused us to lose and never regain momentum.

i think the main point of summer league is to audition these players and not be concerned about substitution patterns.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Agree....but if u have an opportunity to win a game and monitor draft picks while keeping a balanced team on the court.
