Dolan's comments about putting on a uniform when the team was up by 30 only confirms he sees the Knicks as a toy

NYK Fans take the Knicks seriously

Huge difference

If Phil was around this time last year, we would have beat the Pacers no doubt about that.
The team would have played the right way in game 6 and woody would have let Copeland ball when teams were focused on Melo and JR.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

We know Kerr is a possibility. Could Coach K be lured away from Duke? I doubt it but you never know.

WOW!!!! ONly way I see that is Lebron asks him. We know Lebron is a fan of Coach K. So is Kobe.

Riley in his tower plotting evil.

The reason I bring it up is Phil mentioned Coach K was able to get something different out of Melo so maybe he is a voice that Melo will listen to. It would take a small fortune to get him out of Duke though but what else is he really going to achieve in college? He has won plenty of chips, has a gold medal, but nothing in the NBA (assuming he is even interested in that idea).

Coach K with Melo and Lebron would be ridiculous. Too bad its about as likely to happen as me winning mega millions tonight.

Great day. delighted. Phil's self-confidence clear. Structure matters, and unequivocal message that "my way or the highway" from star player not acceptable. Dolan deserves credit for recruiting this guy. Has hired Larry Brown, Isiah and Walsh, now Phil. Say what you want, he's tried. Great things ahead with Phil.....
and paid... I agree. He's such a tool but he has tried yes.

then sabotages. he needs to stay clear of Phil

bigtime. I think Phil can handle this one though. Donnie was an outsider. Phil is coming from the bedrock (whatever that means).

Im farting rainbows and pissing kool aid right now. Its ALL good :)

Clyde gonna interview Phil soon

And this is how quotes get misinterpreted.. by breaking up quotes. The second a and third quotes were about what he sees as problems for the nba as a whole. He may very well have been talking about Melo but he said he those are problems he sees when he watch the nba.

Most Important thing Phil said "I want to see who can play together, who wants to play together" It all starts Wednesday.
MAKING 12 MILLION A YEAR , means players don't run the team anymore, so what kind of coach will challenge the players knowing Phil has his back?
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Wow, can't believe Dolan admitted he was out of his depth and didn't really know what he was doing when he took a bigger role in bball decisions!

Phil said he is going to watch NCAA's but wants to concentrate on NBA teams. Feels there are a lot of players on benches in NBA that can help and don't make a lot of money. I really like that statement.Like the old days with Hubie, getting Rory Sparrow who was effective.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

yellowboy - the only person misinterpreting the quotes is you.

The Answer Man simply provided running commentary for those who could not watch. So sue me.

if thats the case as a fan moving forward Im willing to simply forgive Dolan. He made mistakes and has worked to correct them. If that means hiring PJ to run the team, stay away, support his BB personel and write huge checks then Dolan just became a pretty good owner overnight. Fingers crossed.

Starting wed we will see what players want to stay with the Knicks and who doesn't.

They already proved they tried to get Woody fired, by playing like some weak minor league team until word got around Phil was coming aboard.

It was great to hear Jackson share his vision for the Knicks going forward. Actually bringing up cutting! Its been a problem for eons. Emphasizing other things as basic as footwork. This sounds like someone who will sweat the details. Also liked how he talked about ferreting out players and employees who aren't team players.
