I would say it is borderline, again, I am saying DK is wrong for saying it
However, I have heard people use that phrase as calling them dumb/lazy

We live in a world full of racism, it doesn't make him right, but to think it doesn't exist is ignorant

Again, google it, I have never used that term to describe Puerto Rican's, I don't know many that I am actually close with, only acquaintances

We live in a world that stereotypes and we all do it, you are lying to yourself if you don't, "he/she is one of those ppl"

lets be crystal clear since this is a very serious accusation:

i have always said melo is lazy, having nothing to do with his being a puerto rican, genetically, racially, or ethnically. he just is. you wanna know who is lazy? DOMINICANS

i also said melo has a higher bodyfat percentage than michael jordan, kevin garnett, harold miner, etc. etc. others call this racist-- yet i am referencing black men here (WTF). conditioning has always been an issue which is why he is always out of gas, or one of the main reasons.

not one of these accusers has bothered to answer my questions about their own personal experience.

It comes down to certain things shouldn't be said.....
I agree with you that Melo is lazy, selfish, but it should not have been linked to anything about being PR

In fact, he has been in much better shape these past 2 years, can it be better?
Probably, his worth ethic isn't as nearly as high as Lebron/Durant/Paul George, then again what about Allen Iverson and practice?

obviously i should not have said it, but not because it crossed a line so much as giving a pretext for certain posters who have ulterior motives. hence the eagerness to characterize my statement as a racist rant and whatnot and not actually respond to any of my questions.

it's all good. i know who i am.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Sucks to be him? Doesn't suck to be any Knicks fan?!

Here you go again!! Seriously dude, what kind of relationship do you guys have?? You talk about Tkf and DK7 getting picked on but it seems like you three are the bullies around here since you all are so quick to triple team any member that disagree's with whatever you say!

I normally don't care but this is in every gotdamn thread...get off each other nuts already.

why are you so offended?

Because you're ruining this site much like you were ruining RealGM.

(and yes...I was there when all that crap was going on)

Stay Strong

The site is thriving. Lighten up. If it's ruined for you, you're in the minority and there are other options. It's kind of odd that you're here and saying that though. It's like complaining about the food at a restaurant you go to several times a day.

Papabear Says

Cry baby Bon Bon. I love they way you and you boys hate on the same thing every day. If the Knicks and management are this bad why do you stay? You are nothing but a cry babies and you can't change a damn thing. Talk is cheap. Fill out a resume and apply for a Knicks coaching job or you and the hate team can buy the Knicks. Otherwise all you have is words that Dolan, Melo the Knicks staff don;t even know you exist. You're just small time poster cry baby boys.

1- Spell Check please and talk like a grown man

2- this is a message board, if you cannot hold a conversation/debate with another, do yourself a favor and learn how to read and write

3- The reason why I complain is because there are ways that the Knick's can improve, if I wasn't a Die Hard Knick's fan I would have just jumped off the BandWagon

4- Just because you are a Knick's fan, doesn't mean you have the agree with the decisions the Knicks make or made

5- The Knick's are sinking, a disaster is coming our way, it doesn't make you the "DIE HARD KNICKS FAN" that you think you are by saying you will stick to them and accept whatever decisions they make, it makes you an idiot

6- I am not on a team with anyone, I am on TEAM KNICK's (I want to see them succeed)

7- I can hold a conversation with posters like Playa/Crush, even though we many have different opinions at times

8- Take your meds, your are truly bipolar, ONE DAY you say "IF MELO DOESN'T WANT TO WIN and TAKE LESS, LET HIM LEAVE", the next day you would say "MELO IS WORTH EVERY PENNY and WHOEVER DOESN'T LIKE HIM SHOULD JUST LEAVE"

9- This is not your site, please stop telling others to leave, they have the right to voice their opinion

10- You are in time out in the corner

"Talk like a grown man" LOL. That's good advice.
Papa, you seem to be crying more than anyone.

Papabear Says

Are you one of his protectors ??? RON is not man enough to deal with me? Or do we have to get into it also? Just stay out of it unless you belong to the haters club. I'm more man than you'll ever be.

Wait, aren't YOU the one who jumped into a conversation between me and Swish?!

Bonn Bonn? Ron Ron
Bonn I would love to debate you but I have a recording session at 1 PM and money is more important than debating you so I got to go. Talk later

Do you sell Buttons?

You are not debating with anyone, you are just acting childish and very immature?
For all the education you say you went through, you are a complete lost cause if your are telling the truth...

Does it make you feel better putting others down on a message board?
Do you feel more successful?

Your smile and words are weak, you can say you are a BILLIONARRREEE for all I care, you are what you act like, an immature Brat

Benjamin Button = Brat Pitt

And all you have to do is google my name and you see some of my body of work. What about you?? Since you are so smart what have you done?? You post all day all night so when do you work? Maybe you sell buttons. You see I can prove what I've done in life what about you?? Mr. low life.

A more reasonable question might be why do Fish and a few others post several dozen messages a day hating them? I'm starting to find it odd that you care so much about my posting too though.

I care because I am forced to read the same non-sense in every thread and the majority of the argument is being initiated by you and DK7.

Eventually, Fish, Jrod and TKF will tire themselves out but you two always seem to jump in keep the fire burning. I honestly can't believe you guys haven't been banned yet.

Anyway, I'm going back in lurk mode. good luck

Sounds like you just don't want a discussion. DK and I keep it to basketball. The others have been doing name-calling. I wouldn't say they deserve a ban - maybe a warning but that's not my call. You must be upset and not serious about that. A ban without even a warning? I think that only goes to people who make terrible racist or other terrible comments and don't apologize.

Perhaps you didn't read DK's racist rant about Melo's Puerto Rican genetics. Or maybe you just agree with him. I dont know how you consider that just keeping it to basketball. Or his psychological fangs about Melo's narcisism, basketball talk?

I don't know the post. Yellowboy mentioned something about that but I couldn't find it.
I'd have to see what you're talking about.

The DK Quote was as follows.....

i think i know the one but looks can be deceiving. he is not genetically gifted the way that jordan, garnett, payton, miner etc. were but all that means is that he should be working much harder to achieve that level. if he did he would have the quickness necessary to play on both sides of the ball at the small forward position. people like to tout that he is a matchup nightmare on offense but he remains a liability on defense and this will dog him. people like to say that he needs to conserve energy but i call bull**** on that. he's part puerto rican, right? i played football, baseball, and basketball with plenty of borinquenos in my day in new york. most of them had conditioning issues in spite of their athletic skills. native new yorkers know exactly what i am talking about. in baseball you can get away with it but not basketball.

so lets be clear you are posting this because by posting this you assert that this is a racist statement?

if yes, tell me something: are you a native new yorker born and raised or are you an outsider like crushalot?

if you are new york born and raised have you played all the major sports on some level in new york city? grade school, high school, college, playgrounds, ymca, etc etc

just curious, because my statement is based on my personal experience and backed up by epidemiological studies related to obesity rates and diabetes rates in the city.

looking forward to a fruitful chat now that melo has catalyzed the downfall of his own era.

Yup, this is definitely keeping the discussion to basketball, 100%. I suggest you stop before you expose yourself further. I can tolerate your dislike for melo, not a big fan either, but when you start bringing the discussion to a racial level it's time to stop and consider what you're writing. Crushalot is an outsider, okay what are you suggesting? And why can't someone of puerto rican descent be a native new yorker, surely many puerto ricans have been "born and raised" in the city, the same as any other "native new yorkers". The sad thing is you are using this ridiculous racially-charged argument to suggest that melo is out of shape, which is utterly ridiculous. As I've said before I'm sure he's in better shape than 99% of the people posting here. Who are you to call a professional athlete that plays 40+ minutes a night fat?

Papabear Says

This is the same analogy white racists and the KKK used against black people. We were called lazy, couldn't play sports, couldn't read, genetically almost a monkey. Dagger and Crush this really paint a picture who dk7 really is.The man has a dark side that is very scary. His grammar is excellent and he articulates like a college professor but so did the racists who held us back for years and they still are. I never new the man could stoop that low. His hate is beyond basketball and for anyone to defend him have a problem. I'm very surprised Martin didn't address this. Maybe he didn't see it because if he did he would address it.

Papabear Says

The sad part is that he feels too proud to just come out and say I'm sorry I made a mistake in using racist statements regarding Carmelo Anthony because he is part PR. I should have kept it basketball.

LMAO@U and all over this FUCKING knick team.

Papabear Says

He refuse to Apologize for making racial statements regarding Carmelo Anthony and his PR heritage. Every PR should take offense to dk7 racial slurs. This man is going crazy. Fancy words but a racist heart. That's really who he is. APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT CARMELO ANTHONY.

The fact that you are blaming the words that you posted on other people is laughable.

Exactly. You should have stopped at I shouldn't have said it.

nah i don't think so. i have to tell you that at this point the knicks suck so bad-- especially carmelo anthony god does he suck-- when it comes down to a few *******s trying to prove i'm a racist it says a whole bunch more about them than it does about me. real talk right here

maybe we'll talk when this organization is no longer a tenth avenue crack whore. you do know what a tenth avenue crack whore is right? maybe your version is saloon alley sally.

At the beginning of this thread DK7th stated and I quote "i never have said even once that he is a bad basketball player. he is certainly not a bum or a stiff".

Now he says "especially Carmelo Anthony, god does he suck".

Notice the sharp change in tone as the truth comes to light. This is clearly the writing of an agenda-driven poster that contradicts himself in order to pass off his diatribes as unbiased, and then reveals his extreme views once exposed. The jig is up buddy, you're not fooling anyone. I'm not sure we can win with Melo, but how irritating it is to read the childish ramblings of a bitter person spewing grade-school gibberish like "Carmelo really sucks, he is a fat bum".

As for the racist point, whether you are racist or not, your comment about Puerto Ricans has no place on a basketball forum. You think this is about you, but it's really not. The bottom line is no one here cares how you live your life, what we do care about is seeing to it that a website many of us frequent is not corrupted by hateful and derogatory remarks that encourage negative stereotypes and images about a certain group of people. These comments bring the site down and are simply unpleasant and perturbing to read.

anytime you want to start psychological warfare i am totally cool with that. it'll be fun.

In order to start a debate you would have to matter enough to me. I am just pointing out that people who post the way you do (with hate filled and racist rants) are not good for this on-line community, or any community for that matter. If you are not banned, I would recommend that everyone put you on ignore,

In your own words

"You are a looser"

"Melo is here and you cannot do anything about it, just admit"

"Melo is better than all of you, he makes more money than you, he doesn't even know you exist"

"I am more important than you, I make more more money"

"I am a REAL KNICKS FAN, for those who don't like the players, they should go route for another team and get out of here"

Do you wonder why I continue to treat you like a 6year old?
Do you realize why I put you in time out?
Because you act like a spoiled little brat, you talk like a 6year old, and your agenda against TFK and DK has been going on for too long

You live every day just to cause drama on this site and it is taking a toll on everyone here
and
STOP talking like a spoiled brat, that is 6 years old

You both have different views about the franchise and the players in it, accept it, and move on....
Stop linking me with anyone, or anyone because you cannot accept another's opinion....

Just because you disagree with the POV of many in here, you choose to attack them, call them names, and group them together?
Contribute to the forum by talking Knicks,

not Melo, not TFK, not Me, or ANYONE that has a different opinion of The Knicks than you
Stop portraying me and others to be EVIL for that matter, you are not the only die hard Knick's fan
You have been trying to hard to get Andrew and Martin to ban them, just like how a kindergartener would tell on their teacher
You don't own this site, stop telling others to get out just because you have different opinions from them
I DONT KNOW HOW YOU LINKED KKK with SLAVERY to DK's comments,

I DONT CARE WHAT YOU DO OR DON'T DO IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE

I judge posters on here

what they post
how they treat others and talk to others, how to respect or/and disrespect others
how they deal with different opinions from others here
how often one posts to basketball related subjects
how they present their arguments and how they see talent
how they think, their knowledge, reading from their posts

I target those who love to bash others here and do nothing but pick fight/cause drama

I don't wake up or come home from work, getting excited about starting drama on this website
get back in to basketball topics and just stop the hate

If you need to know, my job is not something I enjoy doing, but I do it to pay the bills
I don't feel a need to mark my lifes accomplishments in an effort to put another down in here

If you want to know, your personal attacks have done nothing to me
However, your continued act of a 6year old brat as annoyed the hell out of me

It would be great to just talk basketball in here, like it once was

You have no heart. You do defend the people who think more like you. Sorry that you don't like your job. Maybe you should find another job. You seek out and defend a man who made racist statements about Camelo Anthony and his PR heritage. Tell him to apologize for what he said. You are still being a cry baby with sh%t in your diaper. For this 6 year old that you are calling me because you have nothing else to say I hope you get a job. This 6 year old also work with young urban kids that are incarcerated in jail acting as a big brother. Teaching and trying to help them find a better life. This 6 year old was a teenager in 1963 when I went with father and brother to the march on Washington listening to Martin Luther King speech. I Have A Dream. This 6 year old remember the racists signs that was around during that time. And in todays world you defend what DK7 said about Camelo Anthony and he refuse to apologize. That tells me a little something about you and let's get this straight! i'm not calling you a racist so get that out of your head. You're just one of those people who look the other way and say nothing.

His hate is beyond basketball and for anyone to defend him have a problem. I'm very surprised Martin didn't address this. Maybe he didn't see it because if he did he would address it.

The sad part is that he feels too proud to just come out and say I'm sorry I made a mistake in using racist statements regarding Carmelo Anthony because he is part PR. I should have kept it basketball.

APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT CARMELO ANTHONY.

i apologize

I deleted the response after seeing what you wrote

And I don't know if you realized it but I said DK was wrong for what he did

I am cool with that PapaBear, I just want us to be able talk basketball here again

We all have different opinions of the team, the roster, the moves we should make or made, etc... it doesn't need us to constantly hate each other
I don't think you are a douche like some posters here, however, you decided to just play a villain role out of no where because of the battles/hate for 2 posters here

We are all here because we are loyal Knick fans, lets just talk basketball, and stop the hate

Ron Ron I agree. Some times I get so mad and not at you but because whats going on with the knicks and we start fighting among ourselves because our team is loosing and we both hurt. I may not agree with you on some issues about the Knicks but I will try to understand more where you are coming from with your opinions and you do the same then we can debate with that understanding that we both love the team. I can't articulate like you but I can post whats on my mind.
Anyway what good would a forum be if everyone agreed on everything.
