I'm still feeling sick knowing that we finally had a young talented guard fall in our lap. The whole time it's been about how Melo needs help. It was the most fun I had watching this team since the Ewing Knicks by far. And we kicked him out the door because Dolan was drunk. We didn't even offer him a ****in contract!! We persued 40yr old Nash!! I agree, but the Rockets offer would not have been matched anyways with that poison pill at the end of the deal. Remember, Lin gets $15 million the last year of the 3 year deal. But the fact that they didn't even put out the offer? Why not just make him the same offer as JR with no cap hit in terms of ability to sign new players. We would have been in the same position luxury tax wise. Still that deal makes him $8.3 a year player, and that would have made him too expensive. |

Melo and JR let it be known they did not want Lin back. This is the reason why the Knicks NEVER made an offer. The same thing happened this offseason with Cope. If the Knicks want you they will be at your door at midnight. JR got a knock on the door the minute that the offseason started. |

Perhaps the best % player--hes shooting 55% through 7 games and hes scored a high of 31 points. Only 1 Knick has scored 30 this year one time by Melo. RIP Crushalot😞

I'm not buying he'll be able to maintain that, and he's playing 6th man on the team which makes him the second most expensive 6th man in the league behind Manu, though I definitely hear what you're saying. |

![]() Great, six games in and Lin is now a HOF PG that would have made everyone forget Clyde.

I forgot how poised he plays. What a waste to let him go. I said it then and will say it again now, he was the best thing to happen to this team since the 90's. I'm still feeling sick knowing that we finally had a young talented guard fall in our lap. The whole time it's been about how Melo needs help. It was the most fun I had watching this team since the Ewing Knicks by far. Here's a sentence crediting him for last year when he wasn't even here: When the ball was moving early last season Melo was an MVP contender and everyone was invovled and the team was winning. Lin made the right passes to guys and got the whole team invovled. I mean, if you can create ball movement and an 8-1 start when you aren't even on the team (and while playing like pure, unadulterated, documented dogshit in Houston) you must be a HOF PG. When you can create better memories in 18 games than Spree did for years here....you've really got to be something historic. |

![]() fish, read the quotes.
18 games. EIGHT-TEEN games, and then he sat out the playoffs with his 80% of 95% of the alterior triangle of the quadratic equation readiness to play level. I was as LinSane as anyone, since I love the baby Jesus as much as our last phenom does, but seriously? He's the greatest thing since Ewing? Better than Spree for seasons? |

![]() jrod I dont participate in such silliness.
True or false: Lin would be the best guard on our roster right now. Lin would have resigned but Dolan and MSG totaly phucked it up "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

![]() There was a three day break in this thread. The break occurred after Lin scored 6 and had 5 turnovers.

But the whole Chris Smith situation is proof of the fact that things are done diff. when Dolan is running the team Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Lin was already thinking about free agency and how much money he was going to get when he sat out of the playoffs and declined the invitation to practice with the USA team. |
