JR was playing for a contract lats year and you can tell that during the regular season. However like the old saying goes a leopard never changes his spots and sure enough he reverted back to his old ways in the playoffs. he probably cost himself much mroe money. I can live with a 2 year deal but not 4 tahts crazy

If the idea is that JR was playing for a contract, then why in the world would he kill that with a slump on the biggest stage in the playoffs? I just think it was one of those things. It happened to DWade who had bad performances and Manu also had some pretty awful performances. It happens to the best of them. The thing is to have a team that can survive a poor performance from one of it's key players. Hopefully the improvements to the team this year will help keep that from happening again.

He was playing for a contract, but couldn't keep himself from partying during the playoffs. So he's just a bonehead who will underperform for the next 4 years for us.

I don't remember him ever playing good defense. Matter of fact he was always the weakling as he would disrupt every good defense sequence by getting lazy and not closing out. A handful of key steals doesn't make you a good defender. JR being a good defender is one of the great myths of all time. If he was so good why was he consistently being chewed out by the coach in games and during practices. Not only does his low IQ apply to his offense but his defense as well
