It's because they stand around with no since of urgency. It's not that they are better without Melo or Stat it's that they try harder with out them for a few games and when they come back down to earth the need will be there. Melo should learn from this. Stop the ISO so much but it's not Melo's call it's Woody's call. I'm glad Copeland got a chance to play. I truly believe that he will be one of keys to winning in the playoffs. Woody better stop being so stubborn or he will be looking for another job next season.

I am not sure why the Knicks cannot play like this more often. Coaching? Leadership? Maybe they need something to rally around to get them going?

Early in the season, there were tremendous expectations for the year and the team wanted to show they could play well despite the injuries. Perhaps that fueled them. Maybe Amar'e and Melo being out is fueling them tonight.

This is what you will see come playoff time with Melo and Stat in the game. The Team will step up.

I love when guys step up when the stars are out. Oak used to have epic games when Pat was out.

It also proves that when they hustle on D and play as a team they can play above expectations without the 2 top paid players.

Also Glen did good finally getting KMart. White finally contributed and all the role players showed they can execute.

What I see whether it's a pick up game or the NBA, when all the players are included in the offensive end with ball movement, they all have the fire and desire to defend. This is why the 1st 2 months of the season went so well regardless of who was playing. See.... SanAntonio

you and i agree on woodson being stubborn. but alhough this was a blowout win, this was a "made for us" opponent. let's be clear on that. they are the worst at defending the 3. and we love shooting the 3. its a recipe for success against them, dont you think? i doubt it if we are going to shoot it that well the next game. what will woodson do then, melo and jr iso plays?

What happened is there's nothing to post about when your team finally manages to do exactly what it is supposed to do. People post when the team either exceeds expectations (yeah right) or fails to meet them (every other game). If all you care about is people jumping up and down everytime we beat one of the worst teams in the league - there's of plenty of other forums out there with fans like that.

Woodson wouldn't play Copeland. Instead he played Amare over his 30 minute cap. Now Amare needs another knee surgery. Stupid coach.
Copeland can play, and Copeland can score.

I don't think the extra 2 minutes made a difference but I do think if we played Copeland a little more Copeland would contribute. Hey maybe they think Copeland is that good but won't play him so no one else would want him and we could sign him at the end of the season on the cheap for 3 years.

Knicks have the two seed and got a win without their stars. Lots to post up about just not the typical forum drama that is inserted.

It's the ridiculous constant moving of the goal posts- people constantly post that we absolutely suck and our record is an illusion, but at the same time expect us to win every game even against the elite teams. Make up your minds- either we suck, in which case every win is a great achievement, or we are a good team, in which case why do you keep posted that we suck?!
