Would think if you posted this now would be totally different results. Woodson is an excellent coach. He's made some curious decisions, but his record here speaks for itself. It hasn't been an easy road at all. We've had a lot of major injuries. Thibodeau is miracle worker whom we should've never let leave NY, but there aren't many coaches in the league that are Woodson quality.

tj23 - there comes a time when your pleas for fundamentals and discipline start to take on a tone deaf quality.

That is nine wins in a row. Not that it matters.

If that's all you're coming back with then don't even bother responding. I'm done debating with a stubborn 8 year old. Blah blah? Lol

You should wait and say this after the playoffs.

Historically Woodson's teams have performed well in the regular season and flamed out in the playoffs. Regular season wins don't win you championships. Playoff wins do. I'm holding off on any kudos until I see if he makes any changes (which he hasn't thus far) to his playoff coaching.

Playoffs?

Historically, Mike Woodson's Atlanta players have been unproductive (Joe Johnson), immature (Marvin Williams) and stubborn to a fault (Josh Smith) in the playoffs.

“Every game is important for us no matter who plays,” Woodson said before the game. “They are a big piece of Miami’s puzzle, but they are still pretty good without them. (Miami goes) into San Antonio and wins without those three guys, so I say they’re pretty good.”

That is playoff coaching

Mike Woodson held this team together as some followers were ready to question his strategies at every turn

He transforma Earl Smith from a boy into a man

Trusts his vets, like Jason Kidd and Pablo Prigioni, to be his voice on the. Kurt

It is a beautiful thing to witness

He acquired Kmart, finally playing Copeland and inserted Prigioni into the starting lineup finally realizing Felton Felton does not see the game through a PGs eyes.

Also have to commend him for being the first coach to FINALLY get JR to understand he has no limitations when he takes the ball to the rack and doesn't hoist up 18 TOs

Melo trying on defense and rebounding now also helps.

So Woodson deserves a ton of credit and should be back in the coach of the year race

“It was kind of crazy. I thought Raymond was going to get the layup. I started backwards toward halfcourt. He kicked it back. Looking at the shot clock, it was going down and I tried to get it as high as I could. My shot was kind of short all day. Fortunately it went in.’’

tj23 - "(Woodson) hasn't instilled the right fundamentals or enough discipline"

We had enough discipline and fundamentals on Sunday tj23. Any coach who can harness The wild man of Freehold, Earl Smith, deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor.

lol Earl cant really call anyone out for expressing displeasure with the way the team played for a good 3month stretch of .500 ball. All that matters is they have figured things out in time for a playoff run. We dont really want to rehash Felton and Rasheed appreciation threads now do we

Can he elevate his teams play leading INTO the playoffs?

A. Speak for yourself gunsnewing. Rehashing is entertaining and enjoyable. Consider it nothing more than a good scrubbing of negative vibes and bitterness. Wiping the residue from a dry erase board.

Want evidence? See the "Barkley's Bold Prediction" thread.

Does anyone appreciate how many crazy clutch plays Raymond Felton gets involved in?

We have some important May basketball games ahead.

See the "Barkley's Bold Prediction" thread

12 consecutive wins is simply a confidence builder at the perfect time on the schedule.

We can win anywhere on the road. That indicates our head coach had his team prepared for every detail and ready to compete at the highest level mentally.

We closed out OKC in their house with all the momentum, and referee calls, in their favor.

It hurts to give credit to the coach you wanted gone. We get it. Leaders with goatees do not fit the mold. Not one mention of Woodson having the Knicks prepared and focused. Not one.
