I like the team because I want Dragič to do good, but their defense is absolutely atrocious, especialy once Gortat leaves the floor.

In my opinion if anything the offense is fine without Felton...I can't see Melo NOT having a 30+ point game against the Suns, especialy with Beasley guarding him at some points.

They are a .600 home team right now. I don't know if that will keep up but they're probably at least a .500 home team.

Even if Knicks win tonight it doesn't mean we don't need Melo. Its the nba you can win on any night. We blew out Miami without Melo. The truth usually plays out. We've looked horrible without Melo outside of Miami and so far tonight

This team does need Melo. I don't think he's a top 10 player in the league but he does still help the team.

Oh this is just pure bull****, excuse my language.

Bonn usually doesn't bait like that. Most of the time he uses numbers and such. Cheers, Bonn. You havent lost your touch

JR tried to stay clear of Dragič, but he reacted too late, he shouldn't have been where he was.
It really wasn't a situation in which JR wanted to knock him down or anything, but in a situation like this you shouldn't risk anything...not over 2 points, when you're leading in the 1st half against a team in the 1st half of the season which you already match up well against and are confident of beating them....I'm only mentioning the last part since I guess in a playoff game of greater importance I'd understand it more in a way.

I think its because he was in the air.

u can't nudge(undercut) a player no matter how innocent it looks. When in the air you don't need to get nudged very hard to break your back or neck

I agree. He wasn't going for the ball, he undercut him while he was in the air. Very uncool by JR. I'm just glad Dragic looks like he's gonna be okay.

Highly doubt JR did that intentionally. It was stupid but I dont think he was trying to hurt Dragic
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I didn't mean it as baiting. It sounded like Guns was implying that I didn't think Melo helped the team and I was giving clarification for the record. Also, anyone who uses the advanced stats will not consider Melo a top 10 player. So given that everyone here knows by now that I do examine the stats, that part of the post should not surprise anyone.

Again, he didn't want to hurt him, but especialy as a somewhat veteran player in the NBA, also one that usualy goes down hard, he should realise that it's not safe or worth it to be where he was.
He doesn't have to "mean it" (hurting him), it can just as well be a dumbass move which endangers another player greatly.

I know you realize Melo's importance. It just seemed to me you were trying to say we don't really need him eventhough you know that isn't true. Some weird psychological ish

So we are a top team in the east without a top 10 player then? Is that what you are saying?

that graze did not look innocent especially in the wake of being forced to put up a desperation shot. bad move by jr smith. looked and awful lot like a cheap shot.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

This isn't baseball buddy. Stats don't tell the whole story.
