Dr. Mac Donald on NBATV, this is a very minor injury and maybe a blessing in disguise as it will let Amare's bone bruise heal. Also said that he thinks Amare might play against Brooklyn on 11/1.

I guess you get the message you want from it. He wasn't indecisive at all. It was on their fantasy preview show and he was talking about Amare being a good fanatasy option.

Except, no doctor has stated this in relation to the cyst. Also, Amar'e has a clear and short timetable for his return rather than a simple re-evaluation timetable. Again, I will trust doctors with MD's and medical experience who have examined the knee over your knee-jerk and baseless speculation.

All of information is second hand. Amare's doctor has not spoken to the media.

What are you talking about. The team doctors have said Amar'e can play in two to three weeks. That is the prognosis. They actually examined his injury. You have not. You are basically playing wikipedia / internet doctor and speculating rampantly. No amount of gifs or jpegs will skew reality to match you speculation.

Think your going to get a straight answer from MSG?

If a Bakers Cyst is a symptom born from a larger problem then its ok to speculate.

He might never ever miss another game in his life.

Or we get more of same.

I'm not saying he won't be healthy enough to play in 3 weeks. I'm saying the medical journals clearly state that the type of cyst Amare has is caused by an UNDERLYING issue.

Therefore, I suggested we should attempt to trade him before we get stuck with Arenas/Lewis 2.0

This is no different than Stephen Curry constantly spraining his ankle. The sprains weren't necessarily career threatening but instability in his ankle was the root cause.

Neither of the root causes of Amare's cyst are good for Knick fans.

I understand the Amare trade talk, but wouldn't unload Chandler just to get rid of him.

Chandler has a ton of value as a defensive center and a high pick and roller. Amare has the same strength, but doesn't play d or rebound. Amare will only be effective if his jump shot's really good, but Novak does that better.

Off the bench he can run the P&R with Felton or whoever and focus on putting up points.

So yea.

Biedrens sucks and Bogut is injured.

I'd definitely give Golden State a call. Team is playing well and Amare could be an addition for them.

The whole 'Amare is untradeable and therefore must be traded, but wait a minute- he's untradeable!' Debate futility, never gets boring!

Can't wait for him to get back so people can SHUT THE F**K UP about him not being able to fit in or whatever the heck people want to crap on him about. Amare will be back to beast mode soon enough.

lol love how Amare feels the need to always take off his shirt and hike up the shorts for the cameras

No question Amare was going to come back physically fit but he still needs to adjust to game speed

Amare is going to injured from here on out. 2 more years and 40 million.

Knicks need to dump his contract.

You can't dump his contract. We had our shot with he amnesty and we didn't use it. STUPID decision.

I thought he was going to have a huge season after all of his offseason work. He will be playing with some really good point guards. The Prigs/Felton Amare pick and role should be devestating. Looking forward to seeing his post moves.

We amnestied Billups in order to get Tyson. A great move. Only allowed 1 amnetied player. Stat will get healthy. We'd have a great game if we played shirts and skins. The other team would run and hide.

We're talking about trading Stoudemire before Melo and Stoudemire has ever had a full season together? Laughable. Stoudemire promised us Parker and Melo during his first interview as a Knick. Instead, we landed Chandler and Melo.

We've made the playoffs during consecutive seasons since the addition of Stoudemire and now we're featuring our strongest team yet. The man changed the culture of our franchise during the 2010-2011 season. Carried our team and franchise on his back to the playoffs. Set an all-time Knicks franchise record for most consecutive games of 30+ points. Felton and Stoudemire FEASTED together. Felton had a career year averaging I believe 17 points and 9 assists per game (due to Stoudemire's presence). And we're now talking about running Amar'e out of town? Pathetic to say the least.

Yes, Stoudemire is currently recovering from an injury but that doesn't change the fact that Stoudemire worked out with Hakeem during the entire offseason, focused as ever, and is in great physical shape/condition and had a GREAT preseason game here in 2012-2013. Put up 18 points off 8-11 shooting. Was explosive with his jumping ability. 5 boards and 1 block. Then, he needed surgery to remove a cyst.

He's also stated that he'd be good with coming off the bench as a true teammate.

PG: Kidd.
2G: J.R Smith.
SF: Novak / Brewer.
PF: Stoudemire
C: marcus Camby.

Along with guys such as Pablo, Rasheed and Kurt Thomas.

As a starter?

C: Tyson Chandler.
PF: Amar'e Stoudemire.
SF: Carmelo Anthony.
2G: Iman Shumpert.
PG: Raymond Felton.

Bench would then become amazing with Kidd, Pablo, J.R, Novak, Brewer, Kurt, Rasheed and Camby all coming off the bench.
