I don't understand trading away one of the only shutdown wing defenders in the league when every good team is build around great wings.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion
How beautiful if nothing more
Than to wait at Zion's door
I've never been in love like this before
Now let me pray to keep you from
The perils that will surely come

Assuming we can't control the outcome, but somehow the Knicks manage to get Nash *and* keep Lin, that seems like a good outcome, at least so far as the PG position goes.
And... I know it's a starphuch move, but I'd love to see Steve Nash on the Knicks.

It's not so hard.

Basically all of the championship teams the last few years had GREAT perimeter defenders. Shumpert is going to be an all star based on this, PLUS he started improving his offense. Assuming Nash is just going to continue playing at the level he has been is assinine. He's bound to lose it. This would be stupid. Really really f'ing stupid.

It all depends on if shumpert can return to form from the serious injury. I mean it would probably be 2013-2014 before he might be back to normal

^Or he could be back to normal by January or February. Are you REALLY going to expect Nash to be a hall of fame player from this point forward at 39/40? You realize he has a bad back don't you? Do you really expect the Knicks to actually BEAT the Heat like that? If you do, more power to you, but I don't and I would be irate as a fan if something like this were to go through. As I said, I'd just walk away and stop caring.
