You know, F it. Being on the Heat.

Melo will take LeBron, Shump on Wade and LaLa can guard Bosh.

OK so now that the Thunder took care of the Bucks for us, that takes a bit of the pressure off and the Knicks can play this with house money. IF the Knicks can beat the Bulls in Chicago it would really set up the team for a final run cuz the Celtics play the Heat tomorrow in Miami. It's a big night for the Knicks if they can win. This is going to be a BRUTAL final stretch for the Celtics. Just look at their schedule and it's not going to be easy for them. If the Knicks can somehow get a win against the Bulls and then handle their business against the Bucks and Wiz, that could be just what they need to catch Boston. Then we've got Boston on the 17th. Man this is tough but doable!!!!

one one positive of playing the heat besides lebron choking is they have no center. I mean literally no center

yeah, the heat could not handle tyson in the finals last year either. and bron always has problems guarding melo and melo seems to relish playing bron. and shump on wade could be good.

i wouldn't love the heat, but it's not a horrible matchup for this team, either.

one thing i worry about for the playoffs is the danger that they might be trying to work amar'e or lin back in on the fly. that could be dangerous to the continuity and flow they have now. not that the team isn't better in the long run with those guys, but any time you have someone come back who commands so many shots and such a big role in the offense, there is an adjustment period. i'm more worried about that for amar'e than lin... but its more likely amar'e comes back than lin...

I think the Knicks have learned from the last time that it's dangerous to just force someone in, but then they added Jared back with no problem and TD has been OK, tho not great. It's possible that STAT could be played much like the Mavs do Dirk. Play him a token 3 mins and then take him out and then when Melo comes out bring in STAT. I think he'd be fine in the mix with the 2nd unit and not really hurt chemistry much that way.

If Amar'e was coming back this week it would be nice if he came off the bench but even if he started just like you said get him out early probably around the 6 or 7 minute mark when Landry goes out and Smith comes in. however if he did come of the bench it would open up the line up more and help that the second unit will have a go to guy. It also allow Chandler some rest. IS till want to see Melo and STAT at the 4 and 5 together.

We're sitting pretty if we win tonight and Miami defeats Boston for various reasons: 1) cos Miami will be right on Chicago's rear end for the top seed meaning we would get the Bulls in the 1st rd 2)We would only be 2 games behind Boston for the 4th seed...ohhh yeahhhh!

I've been super impressed with Boston. I really though a while ago that they were in line to be the odd men out in the East because of their schedule. But they've been getting some real quality wins. I would have to say I'd rather face Chicago than Boston in the first round if that scenario opened up. Boston really scares me because of how hard they play on D and how clutch they are.

absolutely I would go as far and say I rather face the center-less & choke artist Heat than Boston who lets face it owns us. Athough we could've swept the season series if not for dantoni

Boston has been playing out of their minds!!! I can't believe how strong they look. I've been hoping for at least some hint of a drop off or fatigue given their schedule and they just keep on winning. Any hope we have is for them to falter at some point. They play again tomorrow and then have a triple bac2bac. Gotta hope that attrition kicks in at some point.

Oh wow, hadn't noticed the 3 game set right on the heels of a back to back for the C's. 5 games in 6 night? We might get lucky and see some L's next to the Nets or Bobcats (hopeful).

EDIT: Follow that up with ANOTHER back to back? 7 games in 9 nights...Celtics trying to fight off NBA teams and father time at the same time.

hoping the Celtics are somehow REALLY tired and lose all three games to mediocre/horrible teams. that would be incredible. the Nets should give them a fight tomorrow.
