The Mavs came in pissed off about the loss last night and the coaches calling them soft. It's not like this can't happen that a better team comes out and blitzes you on their home floor. I just want the Knicks to put in some work in the 2nd half and make it a game. If that happens i'll be happy. This is why last nights win was so big, cuz this was gonna be a tough game to win no matter what.

I agree that sometimes teams come out flat especially after a win and back to back. And the other teams is pissed! Thats why the playoffs are very often back and forth especially with evenly matched teams.

Spit happens. But you want to see 100 pct effort every night. MDA is not the coach for that. Jerry Sloan, JVG - maybe the other D'antoni.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

The Mavericks scored a season-high 72 points at the half.

No, it doesn't happen regularly.

One game...so you throwing out the games they held some teams to under 100 during our good streak. The NBA season is a long season..not gonna be great in all games. Horrible half definitely but still a half to go. Lets see what they can muster up

The only teams we've held under 100 during our "streak" are the Hawks and Heat. We let everyone else score over 100, including giving up 115 points and 119 points to the Cavaliers.

putting in good effort consistently is what separates the elite teams from a team like us. sometimes the focus isn't there and sometimes the shots aren't falling for whatever reason. good teams can stay in games like this.

we're losing in almost every facet of the game save for foul shooting. that being said, the mavs might shoot worse in the 2nd half but we have to grab boards to get back in.

Two strong playoff teams...I'm not sure a "only" is needed.

This team is playing like it's fat/fed/satisfied what they've already done the past couple of games.

Bad coaching = the knicks win if they shoot lights out (which they have been of late) and lose when they are not shooting well.

The 90's knicks use to shoot badly and win. Why? because they made the other team shoot MO BADLY

so here is what phil is thinking ....

So 2 games out of 9 is enough defense for you...okay.

You sure??..I'm sure Lakers and Celtics get blown out every once in a while.

Do ya thing, Landry.

Good shot.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Carlisle has done an amazing job adjusting to the addition of Jeffries.

You can keep being a blind sheep. Just make sure not to follow this coach over his inevitable fall off the cliff.
