BRIGGS wrote:Why so much isolation down the stretch? No one could touch the ball except amare and felton the last 3 minutes and we cant rebound.

this is the summary of the 6 game losing streak in a nutshell.

felton may attempt the PnR and hand off to Amare, but it turns into iso. Felton gotta go back and get the ball and run it again or find some other guys.

other teams are now not guarding the knicks perimeter late in games, and it's not because they don't respect our shooting.. they just know felton and amare will force up a bad shot rather than pass.. simple and plain..

i wish we could see that whole court on the last play the Knicks had the ball. Wonder how open the other guys were.

Realistically though, Felton had a good, open shot.

More upsetting because it was not the only time it took place in the game.

I still can't get an earlier play, which also took place in the 4th, out of my mind. Gallinari cut to the basket and was alone in the paint with nobody within 2-3 feet of him, and Felton, who must have seen him, chose to pass the ball to his left. I don't think we scored on the play, either.

he was wide open on that play. I know exactly which one you were talking about... it would have been an easy layup...

Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

Felton is not a 20/10 pg. Now that he has come back to reality dudes are complaining when he has played the same way all season. Hilarious.

That is not true. When we were losing with a record of 3-8 a lot were critical of him. When we started winning was when he was moving the ball and running the PnR to perfection. I remember posting on a successful PnR execution from him sarcastically. He then started looking for others and was averaging almost 9 assists per game. In this losing streak he has been doing a Starbury imitation. Not good.

He's just not the quality of point guard we are looking for. There is a reason he's signed to a two year deal, remember the last guy we signed to a two year deal? Chris Duhon. It's a "we'll give you a shot, but keep our options open if something better comes along". He's an improvement over Duhon by 26.2 miles, but he's not The Guy yet, the organization is not sold on him. We're finding out why.

Let's hope he can turn the heat up and drop some buckets, but I'll tell you right now- Felton ain't about it.

He seems to have that 'I'll put my head through a concrete wall' demeanor, which is good, in some limited number of situations, but it's not healthy for longevity, for consistent, positive leadership over many seasons. He'll show flashes for you, that's all.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Bocker, i agree... Felton was struggling early in the season & hardly able to successfully execute an effective PnR w/any of our guys... there was much more iso play going on & the team ball just wasn't there... very much reminiscent of last years team... after he & Amare got on the same page & got their timing down is when the Knicks started to take off... lately the same kind of struggles in the PnR have beset this team that we saw to begin the season... much more iso play, much less ball movement, much worse shooting % as a result of a lack of easy buckets.

in the 1st half of last night's game Felton was the catalyst leading the break on just about every fastbreak that ended up in Gallo getting an easy layup off transition... we all know he can excel in this style of game... what he hasn't been doing in this recent stretch is work the PnR effectively with Amare... i've seen Toney Douglas execute much more effective PnR's with Turiaf than our 2 main guys have been able to do over this losing stretch... teams have been stacking the paint against us, doubling & tripling down on Amare & dared us to beat them with our perimeter play, which hasn't been able to do the job... we can't expect Ray Felton to carry this team when Amare gets shut down... he needs help.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
