But hey, lets be honest: If it is true and those 3 team up in Miami, its what you should expect from 3 Elite players, knowing how to play the Game of NBA salary cap and the game of basketball. All this hate for them teaming up and stuff... Isnt it the goal in sports to win as many championships as possible? Isnt it the right thing to set your ego aside and be the best TEAM you can be? Thats what they would try to do. At least on paper, there is no better solution to win 'ships then to build up a dream team. Sure, Bosh/Bron/Wade wont be alone in the spotlight, but the players of the HEAT could need both hands to have enough fingers for their rings.
That said, they would instantly become the team to beat, the team to hate and yes, the team to envy! It would be Heat against the World, and deservatly so. But it would be a damn good Heat against the world...
...on paper!
In reality I think they will have to ask for the right to play with 2 balls, and even then they wont have enough touches to satisfy 3 egos as big as theirs.
That said, I think until 9 PM you will have at least 2 other favorite destinations for LeBron, and who knows, in the end even I will get out at 3 in the night to see who will be allowed to kiss his highness' butt
I love to watch a good game....a good competition. Winning is the goal, but a really competitive game that goes down to the wire is better. Not a blowout every night. If LeBron goes to Miami, he will lose the respect of almost all basketball fans around the world. The NBA will suffer from fan indifference.
Teaming up with Amar'e makes it a competition. Wade and Bosh vs LeBron and Amar'e vs Garnet,Pierce, Allen, vs Kobe and Gausol, etc.
The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.
