I already seen guys like Chandler, Lee, Nate and Balkman have more impact games. Gallo's one half performance was more impressive to tell you the truth. That Lakers SL was a bit of a joke. I'm surprise that Walker and Douglas aren't dominating these games. All these guys look like 2nd round picks. I can see Fields making the team but Rautins reminds me of Anthony Roberson from a couple of years ago. PEjr has improved his game but I would expect with his experience. With Randolph in the mix not sure if it makes sense.
Not sure why Douglas or Walker would dominate these games, unless they were told to play for themselves by the coaching staff.
Fields has things he has to work on (very limited handle so far/spotty foul shooting, and his man/man D needs improvement), but he does all the little things that can earn him a shot in the rotation at some point. A very good complimentary player who does not force things. A good finisher, help defender, and a guy who can keep the ball moving. Folks are having orgasms over Lance Stephenson- this guy has shown a much better all around NBA ready game. He also did a lot better than Ewbanks today- a guy who had shown some some ability in the Lakers first 2 games. He will only get better as he becomes more confident.
The play of Fields also means that baby Ewing is probably not going to make the team.
Rautins has been a disappointment so far- can't do much scoring on his own- he will depend on PGs who can see him at the 3 pt line. Claimed the Knicks worked him out as a PG, but I can't see any PG ability in him at this point. He puts in the effort on D, but if he can't play PG, I can't see him guarding NBA quality SGs.
Jordan needs work, muscles, and confidence. Looked much more active today. Where is his hook shot.
Wanted to see Charles Garcia play, and more time given to Ryan Whitman, but perhaps the coaches have decided that certain players have not earned the playing time.
Not much to write home about in terms of players we have never seen, except for Fields.
