Skiles better get Jennings back in there. The Bucks offense without him is going nowhere.

Best example of poor coaching.

When the Refs were reviewing the 3 pointer by Horford Scott huddled his team and drew up a play. The Atlanta players stared at the monitor while Mike Woodson tried to draw up a play.

Someone needs to tell Scott Skiles that he isn't coaching the right kind of players and that Jennings is a rookie.

you're seeing similar things take place with denver and now atlanta.

teams with sort of wild card personalities (like josh and kmart...and even melo to an extent) need some big time coaches to control them. woodson + dantley don't have a grip on them when those players start getting challenged.

knicks fans want melo but i don't think he has the makeup to lead a franchise.

Charles Barkley said Atlanta is a bunch of guys who dont like each other. LOL. During the show they showed a clips of Woodson drawing up a play and no one was paying atttention and they were talking to each or staring into space.

Some teams dont handle adversity well.

i've never seen a team with such a terribly run offense win as many regular season games as they did. their bench is weak (sans crawford) but they win b/c of their defense. although josh smith and horford, imho, are overrated. joe johnson is the epitome of ball stopper and he just holds it for 20 seconds before deciding to do something. but he's good enough to score in those situations...but still, just a horribly run offense.

so in a different offense, could JJ be effective? i.e. not hold ball?

I think he would still hold the ball but the guy can definitely shoot the ball. Problem with Wade is he has no jumper after 7 years in the league.

Anibus aren't they referring to Joe Johnson here?

yea I posted an incomplete thought.

Joe Johnson would be the most ideal SG if we keep D'Antoni because he can actually shoot. Not many other SG's available this summer who can actually shoot except Mike Miller and Gilbert Arenas.

Joe Johnson holds the ball but it isn't like he just dominates the ball every possession he goes frequently without touching the ball at all. Johnson also wouldn't totally kill the development of our young guys.

Dirk with 4 fouls in the first half, Mavs down 20. Dirk has got to play smarter than that.

Mavericks find new ways to disgust me every year. This one wasn't that big of a surprise though. They have some serious off-season questions about the reality of contending with that team going forward.
