Nate Robinson and Jared Jeffries for Eddie House, M Daniels, B Scalabrine, S Williams and JR Giddens is what it should be. Boy that would be nice.

Knicks and Celtics still talking on Nate Robinson-Eddie House, three sources say, but may not be a deal until tomorrow.

Sources say deal is done and will be announced by tomorrow a.m. at the latest. House and Robinson for sure...let's see if we get lucky and get something else out of this deal...

As much as Anubis will hate it TD quoted two sources in his twitter. He say the deal is signed off in and it is a first in 2011 because Boston gave up their pick last year.

ESPN sent out a text saying Knicks and Celts are in advanced talks of a House for Nate deal that was not quite done yet.

First rounder is reported on the front page of UK. I figured that it would be expirings and a first all along. That seemed like the fairest value.

Nate will definitely be missed. One of the most entertaining players to ever put on a Knick uniform. Sometimes a headache, but generally fun to watch.

so when it all boils down to it, the knicks spent $4 mil (+ luxury) on a 2011 first rounder. since money doesn't matter to the knicks, it's a free pick since they had no intention of keeping nate. they still fubared it before by not trading for kenny thomas but that doesn't matter now.

It just seems the whole handling of the Nate situation, Marbs and Curry for that matter has been a huge clusterphuck...we got these guys(Walsh and MDA) because they were suppose to be the professionals and know how to manage these things...

It is pretty frustrating. Walsh has spent most of his protecting D'Antoni while D'Antoni devalues players that he doesn't want to deal with until Walsh is forced to give them away or pay other teams to take them.

he's referring to the 1 year contract we gave to Nate this season for $4 mil + the luxury tax spending that his contract caused on our payroll... we're trading that for a 2011 late 1st round pick essentially... he's saying we could have just bought a late 1st round pick for $3 mil in cash this season like we did for Toney Douglas last season & saved on the luxury tax & the extra $1 mil & that we pissed away our chance to trade Nate last year to Sactown in that Kenny Thomas rumored trade... all of this i agree w/dj with... but what's done is done & getting back at least a late 1st round pick was essential, we couldn't just let Nate walk for nothing... that should have been done last year tho so we would have a pick in this year's draft.

nate was a rotation player for a lot of this year. maybe they were paying him to do that?

no one knows what/if any trades were on the table last year for nate.

bottom line, they apparently get a first round pick for an asset they thought might help them make the playoffs this year and would have definitely walked for nothing in 30 games.

and boston is going downhill fast in case y'all didn't notice. a 2011 first rounder from them could look pretty nice.

i don't give a crap about making the T-Mac deal work... i hope we don't give up any picks in that deal, it's a retarded trade to begin with... adding a pick from the Nate trade to make that deal work doesn't make it any more palateable for me... Jordan Hill is plenty enough to give up to dump Fishlips' contract & that's not even a no brainer for me to begin with... people around here were buggin' the fug out when the idea was to dump Zach's contract in exchange for moving down 10 slots in the draft 2 years ago, & that was to dump the final 2 YEARS off Zach's contract, now those same people are saying Jordan Hill & 2 potential lottery picks is a fair price to pay to dump the final year off Fishlips' deal... the extents some of y'all flip flop on issues never ceases to amaze me.

Great that this deal is almost done. Now, if Donnie can get Boston to accept Jeffries in this deal, I will take back all the criticism I gave him on the TMac negotiations. We have to add some salary for Nate's BYC vs salary to allow the deal to be acceptable trade checker wise.

Nate is much more valuable and much more needed by Boston than an expiring Eddie House is needed by us. And Nate is the best player by a wide margin. Instead of taking their first round pick, give them Jeffries and then give Houston the middle finger.

...or we can let Nate walk in April for nothing......And then everyone will bitch and complain that Walsh is an idiot, he should have gotten something for him.

sounds like we'd be getting giddens in addition to house... i had mentioned him earlier as a guy i wanted in the deal and i'm glad we'll be getting him. kid was very good at kansas and new mexico and i think he could play very well here the last 30 games or so.. if he gets burn
