That is horrible coaching...I stick up for D'Antoni a lot but that's horrible.

If you're going to foul anyway, foul right away...you should be SCREAMING at your team to do that.

If nate goes off there's a chance that the game could have been as close as it actually was, if he played like he does 70% of the time we would have been blown out. http://www.nba.com/knicks/news/nyksasrecap090217.html Nate Lifts Knicks to Big Win Over Spurs
In his first game back since bringing the Slam Dunk title back to the Big Apple, the 5-foot-9 guard showed he can do more than just get above the rim as he had another impressive all-around performances in the Knicks’ 112-107 overtime win over Tim Duncan and the visiting San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night. Robinson, who admitted he was a bit fatigued following a busy All-Star weekend, recorded a game-high 32 points and 10 rebounds in front of a sold-out Madison Square Garden crowd. His outstanding effort was an encore to a weeklong stretch that was highlighted by a near triple-double at the L.A. Clippers last Wednesday and a memorable leap above Orlando’s 6-11 center Dwight Howard on Saturday night. “The fans were great,” said Robinson, who has hit the 30-point plateau in three straight games for the first time in his career. “I felt it the whole day – them screaming and everything about me winning the dunk contest. I do it for the fans and I did it for New York, so they deserve it.” And the Knicks also deserved a nice victory over one of the league’s top teams following a rough six-game losing streak, which included Portland’s Brandon Roy’s game-winning layup at the buzzer and a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Clippers. Robinson does not consider himself a go-to guy but he did most of his damage in the second half after what Head Coach Mike D’Antoni called a “jittery” start. His biggest shot of the night came when he split two defenders and tossed in a driving layup to tie the game at 102 with 20 seconds left, and the Knicks played great defense down the stretch. New York allowed the Spurs to dribble above the 3-point line for nearly 17 seconds before it decided to use its final foul. Duncan missed a turnaround jumper off the inbounds pass with just over a second left. “We were actually trying to learn from our past mistakes,” said forward David Lee, who recorded his 42nd double-double before fouling out late in regulation. Robinson scored six points in the extra five-minute session and put the Knicks up for good on a mid-range jumper with 2:31 left. The Knicks won their 22nd game of the season, which is one shy of last year’s total. “Right now, it’s huge for us,” he said. “It boosts our confidence and prepares us for the next game. On top of that, the last couple of games we should have won, but for the most part we still have our eyes on the prize and make a playoff run.” Robinson’s big night overshadowed the play of Duncan, who had 26 points and 15 rebounds. And who knows, maybe next season Robinson will being playing in the same game as Duncan during next season’s All-Star weekend in Dallas. "That's what I'm trying to get to, but for the most part we're just focused on the playoffs now," Robinson said. "Next year will come."
