I've watched a few Heat games and have yet to see an "oh ****" moment from Beasley. The jury is still out but I don't see anything special in him at all.

Westbrook's speed with the ball athleticism and explosion at the rim are ELITE. The j and pg skills are improving rapidly. OKC may reconsider Love over him but not Lopez.

They're both nasty in NBA 2k10. I haven't watched either player play extensively but the shine has come off of Westbrook after seeing his abysmal shooting this year. I'd be ecstatic with either player.

Quality guards drafted in last 2 drafts

2009:

- Tyreke Evans (I like him better than Westbrook by a MILE)
- Brandon Jennings
- Jonny Flynn
- Stephen Curry
- Ty Lawson (see: facial on Lakers)
- Darren Collison
- Toney Douglas (???)

2008

- Derrick Rose
- OJ Mayo
- Westbrook
- Eric Gordon
- Bayless
- George Hill
- Chris Douglas-Roberts

Quality Bigs taken in last 2 drafts

2009:

Blake Griffin
DeJuan Blair

2008:

Kevin Love
Gallo
Brookl Lopez
Jason Thompson
Anthony Randolph

I think unless the talent difference is huge..you gotta take someone like Lopez where you don't have to worry about the 5 for most of his carrer if he stays healthy.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

is the NBA like a video game where once you reach 10000 exp pts you learn a new skill?

Gallo had to reach the 30-40 games played mark before he realizes shooting 11, 15, 16 threes may not be the most efficient use of his talent?

No the NBA is not like a video game. It's reality with real people. People that sometimes learn from their mistakes and sometimes do not. His role in the offense right now is to shoot 3's. There will be more nights of 11, 15 and 16 threes. There will be more nights of him taking it to the hole and getting to the line 12 times. He will learn to balance his game over time. The coaches will call plays that diversify his game over time. Eventually based on his talent level you will see him in the post, on the drive and shooting 3's. He's already shown us this ability and the coaches are slowly incorporating more and more into his game. As he develops his game will diversify. That's not a video game, that's just the way things work.

For the record Jennings(possibly the best player in this draft) is struggling with his shot selection as well. He will probably get better the more he plays, or is he doomed to poor shot selection for the rest of his career?

I just hope that people will like me

but here is the problem I have with westbrook.. He is not even close to being a PG, he is not a creator at all.. He can rack up assist handing the ball to durant, so his assist can be deceiving... he doesn't shoot good enough to be a SG, and there is no gurantee that he ever develops those kind of skills..

I would take brook lopez over westbrook and love for sure.... Love is a nice player, but I am not a big fan of undersized PF's, lopez is a legit center.. I would take over both westbrook and love..

Do you think Gallinari should be in the 3 point contest? Also, do you think he'll be an all-star within 2 years? I do

John Hollinger (2:59 PM) I doubt Gallinari will ever be an All-Star. He's a one-trick pony but between the back and a general lack of athleticism I can't imagine him turning into a Nowitzki. I think he'd be a good choice for the 3-pt contest though.

I'm beginning to think that these *******s never watch a knick game. A one trick pony? Hollinger can go f' himself. The kid has been attacking the rim, blocking shots, making good passes and putting the ball on the floor. Dirk was very average his first season in the league. The kid is starting to get him legs and is getting to the line.

They might not. I don't think the Knicks are a team watched by many "analysts" at this point. If guys are good and continue to play well, the "experts" usually come around, though. The same will be true of Gallinari if his evolution as a player continues.

Somebody should hold on to these quotes and throw them back into their faces at some point (if this is possible), though, especially if Gallinari does well and the experts praise him without admitting that they were wrong about him at one point.

Hell, it has taken certain UK members a long time to come around to the belief that Gallinari can play the game- and they are watching him all the time- no surprise that certain analysts have not seen caught up with reality yet.
