Curry is too busy whoring himself to NY to comment about anything else draft related.

If NY had the 2 though, there is no doubt in my mind Curry would've took a shot at Rubio.

[Edited by - McK1 on 06-13-2009 7:29 PM]

No way in the world that he takes a shot at him, even if Rubio were to make a comment about Curry first (which he would not do).

Maybe Jennings lives in some kind of "You Got Served" 1/1 macho BB universe- but guys like Rubio or Curry will take the high road and make their statements on the court playing with their team.

Yes. There is absolutely no reason to say what B. Jennings said, and even less reason to say what he said. I mean...common.

To me, B. Jennings just slipped out of the top-20; his mind is way off and when one's mind is off, it is hard to tell if the mind will ever be fixed.

from the 1:00-1:22 is what makes Jennings special. theres also some highlights of him and Love on their AAU team

Globetrotter dribbling, but he should have passed off much earlier than he did- the play actually shows the best and worst of his game.

Does not show much going to his right, by the way, at least in this set of highlights.

He will get picked up much earlier than that- hopefully by a team with a coach who can turn him around. In the right setting (strong coach and solid team leaders)he could be great.

Ha...and how many players can we say that about, both current and future?

globetrotter dribbling???

they tried to trap him at mid court with 3 guys. he picks that ball up right there its a turnover.

4 seconds and about 8 dribble moves later he left those same 3 guys falling over each other without changing his dribble stance or giving up his position on the court.

he has highlights of him going right in other youtube clips. This particular feature was short and to the point about what IMO will make him special on the next level

Yeah I used to watch that video when everyone thought he was coming to Uconn. That segment looks like a video game.

In getting down to basketball--I think there is a big out of site out of mind going on here. This is the same guy who averaged 15.3 points 11.5 Assists and 4 rebounds per game his *junior* season and then after two main scorers left the team--he averaged 35-8-5 his senior year--with one game at 63 points. This guy is easily one of the best high school PG prospects in the last 10 years. He did his numbers at Oak Hill not Guilford CT or any other small city team. This guy is a jet with a pogo stick handle and hops. This is not someone to dismiss based on some macho comments on a video. This is a player who can force defenses on their heels and looks to pass first but has the ability to score 20 points and grab some rebounds. There is no doubt about it--he is high lottery material and the fact that he showed up Holiday and Flynn underlines his talent level.

The inferences and suggestions being made in this thread are borderline stupid. Jennings is a ****ing idiot for opening his mouth like he did, plain and simple. Jennings has done absolutely NOTHING to earn the right to say what he said and people are sucking him off like he just overthrew Osama BinLaden. Please. Get a ****ing grip.

And Mck1 lets be honest, you're the biggest Marbury homer here. Theres no wonder you are in love with Jennings, they are one in the same.

Edit: I'm still waiting for all those playoff teams to be lined up to sign Marbury too..

This is ridiculous, so a player is not allowed to answer questions honestly about another player? Sure it wasn't nice, but it shouldn't reflect on his character or most importantly his ability to be an NBA point guard. Last year Jennings was the top rated high school player in the country nothings changed about his game because an Italian team decided not to play him. Besides, Jennings point that Rubio is avoiding head to head work outs to avoid be exposed is completely valid. Rubio's not a lock at #2 so if he could hang with these guys he'd have allot to gain by working out for some of these teams.

And are you guys done with Flynn for laughing? That's just as bad when you think about it. lol

Yeah, I was going to put the capital S elsewhere but it would be too obvious. It is all in fun.

This video at MCds playing with all of the top guys--it shows how explosive quick fast he is with the top of the line PG skills in open floor play. Also as a caevat--it shows what BJ Mullens can do with a good PG in an open system against great players. Sometimes you need to see players in their element--this is the kind of style we want to play up and down. Im also just using my new youtube skills so bare with me

Ricky Rubio really smells like Darko Milicic part deux. Every GM thinks hes the top guy although he cant shoot never had any stats worth mentioning is frail looking with average speed and no hops.

He has some nice innate skills and he is very long for a PG BUT show me the numbers somewhere and dont tell me 4 pts 4 rebounds in the Olympics. Atleast Gallinari had some numbers and it is obvious he can shoot it.

Beware the Euro with no stats.

If B J Mullens was from Italy and his last name was Gozzolini--he'd be the next Bill Walton and consensus pick 1 in the draft. You do get Euro hype points.

I like the Euros who have proven numbers and higher prestige--honestly those are the guys who have had success. To use a 2 pick on this kid who wont play against the top guys and had no numbers cant shoot--well buyer beware.

Atleast we have seen what a guy like Thabeet can do--he doesnt need to workout in 3 on 3 half court and by the way he would kill in 3-3's with the guys in this draft. He probably should have if he ends up slipping as a result.

To me he's a scary pick. I think the second pick in the draft should look like and have numbers =to Derrick Rose. Has shown an impact somehwere that has resulted in W's

Can't deny superstar talent when you see it, and I see it. How can someone not see Rubio, the franchise pg? He's too smooth, like Pete Maravich.

Maravich averaged 44pts per game in college. Tell me he's smooth like Jamal Crawfod and i might believe you but don't mention Maravich.

EDIT: Maravich never averaged 7 assists per game in the pros.

This comparison is worse than Jameer Nelson's defense of the 3pt line.

A very poor man's Jason Kidd with a huge buyout who might not play in the NBA for a while.

Yeah.. no thanks.
