I would be happy with Rubio at #2. I'm not sure he is a consensus #2 pick. I would be just as happy with Evans or Hill at the #2 spot as well.

Best video on youtube about him.
Papabear Says
It ain't gonna work in the NBA

Even though he did it against the NBA filled All-Star Olympic team, who raved about his talent and potential, starting as the PG with 5-6 other NBA players on Spain's team...

that makes sense.

He is much more likely to be starting for a D league team than an NBA team at this point from what I can only observe from clips.

wow, just wow.

and i'm still waiting for an answer to whether you have watched an actual game of him.

based on this response, i'm gonna take that as a no.

unless you are willing to respond.

It's his body. Look at guys like Williams Paul Kidd--these guys are physically put together. Does this kid in anyway look like he is prepared for the physicality and athleticism of the nBA right now? He's long for a PG and he has skills but physically he is no where near ready to compete at the NBA level. Lets wait and see.

I wonder if the Knicks loved Rubio so much if they be willing to take on massive contract $$$ that extends into 2010 to move up--lets say Washington gets pick 2 and doesnt need him but wants to clear Jamison. Would the Knicks take Jamsions contract and pick 2 to flip pick 7 or 8[]

That will tell me the extent of love.

The Wizards seem to be ready to pounce on Rubio. If the Knicks do land the #2 pick, they could really get some serious assets with that pick.

Damn, Briggs, I was just typing about Washington. From what I hear they love Rubio and would be looking to move up if they don't get #2 to take him.

If the Knicks get the #2 pick, a trade would be the best option. They are more than a point guard away and as I stated, I don't think Rubio is the 2nd coming of Magic. I would be ok with Jennings or Maynor as well, if you get prospects like McGee back too.

I would be very willing to take Young Mcgee and Blake Griffin off of their hands to allow them to have Mr Rubio --that would be like finding a wallet with 100k inside with a note that reads--keep it.

Rubio the skinny boy. This guy is going to be a star. He's 6'4 and plays more like 6'7. He is an extremely long player and highly athletic. He is a two way player.

The biggest problem I have with Rubio is his high turnover rate. He needs to stop with the Jason Williams highlight passes. He is young and should mature.

Dude, the more I check out Rubio, the more I am convinced: if we don't have him in a Knick uniform then we are lost, LOST, ALL IS LOST! He's so, soooooooooooooo good. Did Nash even show this type of awesomeness at age 18!?

really guys, we're in no position to be talking about taking Rubio cuz we ain't winning a top 3 pick in this draft.
Yep, thats it. I never thought Ricky would be considered a top 3 pick at this point. Maybe he declares for the draft next year and we... er... do we have our own 1st round pick next year?

BTW, I also would take Griffin over Rubio if I had the 1st overall pick.

if a miracle happens & we somehow land the #2 pick, i would have a hard time deciding whether to take Rubio or Derozan... i really like Jordan Hill but i think he's gonna be a good 2 way player, but not quite a star when it's all said & done... Derozan & Rubio probably both have star potential, but that's all it is right now... both are still a big risk to take that high, but right now the Knicks are so damned starved for Star calibre players that we should be willing to take those types of risks... i'm sorta leaning towards Derozan tho personally, but we can probably get him lower than #2.

Rubio is the pick we need.
Who said he's going to be a bust?

rubio's got a ton of swag too.

briggs, did you see him play cp3, jkidd, and deron williams in the olympics? he gave all of them a run for their money. i know the int'l game is different, but to have that much poise on the international stage was pretty impressive.

if rubio is in, without a doubt, i want him on the knicks.

As much as I like Derozen.. I'd take Rubio in a heartbeat.
