Harden had a bad game again tonight, but you can't ignore the 25 games where he looked like the best player in the country (or top 3 at least). He will still be a high pick if he comes out and a high caliber NBA 2 guard.

Blair and Eaton collide here, and both are shaken up. Pitt and OKU is a really good contest here in the first half.

I dunno Des.. Harden has come up short against the best competition in the last 3 games. Thats a red flag if you ask me.

Pitt with a really impressive finish to the ballgame. Sign of a championship level team in the way it finished this game. They have made every single play down the stretch.

They've also been pushed hard by 2 teams that aren't nearly as good as they are supposed to be.

They better pick it up next week.

I read that Aldrich is not coming out but if he does he may move up to the top 6 or 7 with the lack of big men in the draft

No way he last more than 10 in this shtty draft. He's a 6-5 combo guard who has a lot of old school abilities. While he isnt that athletic he has a strong body and deceptive quickness and change of pace. I don't agree with the pundits about top 3 but look at what is left when you get through Jordan Hill Blake Griffin Thabeet Tyreke Evans Jennings and Derozan-- a lot of small guards undersized or underdeveloped big men who may or may not even come out for this draft. I'd rather have Harden than the smaller guards. He will be a very good NBA player.

I have to think that he is actually between 6'3" and 6'4" and he has played small and below the rim for most of the last 3 games. He has limited quickness and the release on his shot is not the type I would want for a SG. You saw a lot of guys in the Syracuse game with the kinds of shooting form/quick release that you want in a two guard, but Harden was not one of them.

He is another guy I wanted to see do well, and he was a major disappointment. He is poised and unselfish, but as one of the announcers pointed out, there are times when a star has to be selfish and take things into his own hands. I think that he was really exposed in this tournament.

This draft is not that good. I don't see a guy like Harden dropping out of the top 10. He might not be a Knick but he will be on a roster in the top 10. He flubbed but he is still a very good player. You cant base one or two games against a full body of work and we don't know how big he is until he is measured. He looks like is is 6-5 225 ish.

To me --unless we get pick 1 I hope we get Derozan. I think with ten pounds of muscle and maturity --this kid is going to be a high level pro player. We'll have to wait and see who is in and who is out. I dont think he will be available at 10.

If I had to guess the top 9 players right now not in order

1. Griffin
2 Derozan
3 Evans
4 Thabeet
5 J Hill
6 C Aldrich
7 J Harden
8 B Jennings
9 G Monroe[although I think he is soft as butter]
10 Knicks

You may be lucky that USC is out and DeRozan did not get a chance to show some more stuff. Perhaps he will slide down.

...Should we also assume that everyone on a mock draft list like DraftExpress puts out is actually coming out this year? To me, players like DeRozan, Evans, and Monroe and others could use another year of seasoning, although I understand that they might be thinking that this is the year to declare because of a "weak" draft crop.

DeRozan would be an interesting choice- maybe not my first pick (I'm looking for another Euro with stiff legs), but someone who could develop into the type of player we don't usually have on this team.

Top 12 all advanced all 1-2-3 seeds are in 2 of the 4s 1 5 and AZ which has three first round picks on their team.

So I would say they did a darn good job putting the field together[like they usually do]

Now we get to the meat and potatoes. No easy game for any team and there have been some real barn burners already.

Aldrich had an absolutely ridiculous game. I'm not gonna lie- I pictured him in a Knicks uni when he was blocking all those shots.

Glad you weren't picturing anything else about him..

Id rather imagine having Blake Griffin:) Blake Griffin is 10 miles on all of these guys put together to be honest. If we were EVER that lucky I would probably change direction and offer anyones choice of Nate or Lee plus a first rounder protected to 5 in 2012 for either Aldrich or Thabeet and than look at that new young frontline--and if Mike D didnt like it his arse would be out:)

Blake Griffin is clearly the best player in the draft and is an instant NBA 20/10 maybe more like 25/12 kind of player, but getting pick no.1 will be a bear. I agree that its a 1 player draft.

I don't see Griffin as a guy who will put up Howard numbers. He looks like he could be KMart to me (healthier) but we'll see.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

He'll get a lot of easy points at first because he's such a ferocious rebounder. He's not on Howard's level in terms of shotblocking and defense yet. Dwight improved tremendously as a shotblocker under the tutelage of Patrick Ewing though.

Howards level is the absolute best the nba has to offer....sooooo chances are he won't reach that in year one. Blake Griffin isn't a shot blocker anyway...with that said I think the dude could put up Carlos Boozer numbers in year one...He's gonna be a cross between Boozer and Amare. He's a vicious dude so there is no doubt the guy is gonna be good from day one.

If this year is a two player draft, what was last year?
