Danilo looked really good today. He was very active around the court. He looks like he will be a scorer and maybe a player that can play some point forward. The key is for him to stay healthy. His shot is there so if he can develop a good head fake watch out. So far so good. I think it is unfair to compare him to someone else. Let's let Danilo become his own person.

I agree...

He can no doubt play this game....he isn't afraid and whats funny is this is his 3rd game of the season...what poise the kid is showing. Fearless.

He looks as if he can take his play up a few notches. I would not be suprised if the kid breaksouts out after the all-star break or in the last month of the season. Kid can really play this game. I'm impressed.

Theoretically - if we are about to get LeBron and Bosh or some substitute for these free agents - and Gallo can turn into Kukoc, I would be pretty happy. Let's see what happens with this guy, hopefully he will be serviceable.

BTW, Paladin this is why I said you misquoted me. You removed Oasis quote and left the impression as if I stated that. I understand what you were trying to do but that is why I stated it. No harm, no foul.

^ see TMS, I ain't crazy.

i don't see u saying anything to those projecting this kid as a bust... why is that acceptable while someone saying he might be good is not? i don't think u can get any sense at all how he's going to turn out from what we've seen of him personally... the Kukoc comparisons i've brought up have only been made to say that's the type of player that i think he might turn into, not what i think he is destined to be... he could be great, he could stink... none of us knows either way... for people like isles, BRIGGS & others to have labelled this kid a bust before he ever even put on a Knicks uniform makes me think some of you just don't want to see this kid succeed... that's a completely myopic & close minded view of this kid's potential & ability... obviously Donnie Walsh sees some big potential in Gallo otherwise he wouldn't have taken him so high in the draft... for some of you guys to sit here & pretend like u know more about judging prospects than he does is completely laughable.

Fair enough. I will refrain from negative comments myself because some of you guys are over sensitive with this guy for some reason or the other. Though it appears that he is given the benefit of doubt while other draftees in the recent past weren't and in the case with Chandler aren't. I will bite my lip and watch as others who I believe will have a bigger impact in the NBA and just shake my head. Hey like I said it ain't the first time I had to do so. It's like going with your friend to buy a car. He likes the color and the luxuries while you are more concern about what's under the hood.

there's nothing overly sensitive about saying we should wait before casting any final judgements on a kid who has only played in 4 games at the NBA level & seen only sporadic time on the court... all rooks should be given the benefit of the doubt including the ones on our team... Chandler is no exception & neither is Gallo... when u see thread after thread about how great kids like Bayless, Lopez, McGee, Marcus Williams or whoever else would have been had we drafted them i think it's fair to also hold the same kind of hope for a kid like Gallo until he proves otherwise.

Allow Bip to summarize

1.) Gallo has potential
2.) Gallo has proven nothing yet
3.) Gallo may fall prey to back issues and sadden us all
4.) Gallo's back may be healed
5.) Gallo could be better than many in the draft
6.) Gallo could be a bust
7.) We should make our predictions but in the end we all have to wait and see
8.) Calling someone a bust without seeing them play is agenda driven
9.) Calling someone a star after 4 games is agenda driven
10.) Some people really do want Gallo to fail but don't realize it
11.) People are naturally excited by one of their rookies, woah big surprise
12.) Some people hate it when others are excited and must stamp out all excitement at all costs in order to make others as miserable as them
13.) Some people want so bad for Gallo to be good that they will see positives in anything
14.) Some people are so angry
15.) What do I mean, "some people"
16.) He's a rookie. We know nothing about him. We are learning slowly. People are excited because it is their rookie. Most are rational and are not calling him a bust or a star. It's the people on the outer edges that really dumb down the conversation.
17.) Bip is king.

I think that accurately summarizes it all.

If you did not see this movie, you need to see it. Robert Downey, Jr. was freaking hilarious trying to play a sterotypical black man. You have to watch it 2-3 times to really appreciate his acting.
