I hadn't actually. I know he's tried some more conventional post ups but they seem sloppy so I didn't seek to label them as anything more than that: Sloppy.

What I had noticed about Lee is he is just HORRENDOUS on defense. I always knew he was bad but this has grown to ridiculous proportions: He just stands there when guards cut into the lane. If he had any reaction time at all he could leap and swat at their shot. Yet, he doesn't. He sits there in cement and watches the play unfold.

Maybe he is too intent on boxing out his man... too geeked up for the rebound.

I think he is and that's my point on that... (and you meant too intent on NOT boxing out right?). To some degree Lee's rebounding prowess reminds me of Fortson's in that Fortson would just leave his man and even body block his own teammates out of the way to grab a board.

So fixated on the ball in the air that nothing else matters.

It will lead to good rebounding - BUT - will also lead to numerous mistakes that cost your team.

Now, is Lee a good rebounder and not just a gimmick? Of course he is. Yet, as I pointed out, many come from that style of play. He leaves his man early - even if he's not the one that will be the primary rebounder - and it leads to O-Boards for the opposing team.

He needs to learn the flight of the ball and whether or not he has a LEGIT shot at it by leaving his man - or - if it's going to rim out deep and suddenly he's all alone under the rim and it's bouncing right to the guy he left.

Will he learn that? I dunno. Some guys are just born with that: DENNIS RODMAN.

I meant he wasn't moving over to defend the penetrating guard because that would leave his guy open for an easy rebound/putback. He stayed at home. Which helps if you want to get the board. But is dumb when you don't have a shotblocker behind you.

Actually, No, I think Lee is just that clueless on defense. He sees the guard come down the lane he just kinda sits there and stares at him then stares at him taking the shot then stares at the ball go into the hoop.

I'm not the only one in the thread who was concerned with his play the last six odd games, hence why this thread was born, you took my observations to task, I clarified them, you dismiss them anyway. That's just what you do though so no big deal.

& i also think u need to pipe down with your constant digs at Donnie Walsh... it's getting tiresome as well... while we're at it, i think u need to quiet down on the Bring Back Marbury posts as well... no one wants that bum around here... & i can't believe u actually think the Knicks will win a championship this year... get over it already, jeez.

Eny, you are one of my favs but you also made a ridiculous post about another young player playing 3 minutes and went on how much talent and stardom you saw in him after he scored 0 points, 0 rebounds and 0 assists. That's got to be the thread where I chimed in with concern that Chandler was beginning to show signs of too much 1-1 play... and deep shot chucking at that.

Can you find the thread? Just curious to see what I typed in that one versus the observations I have of him the past day or two.

It was fairly early in the season I think. November most certainly.
