Blow out tomorrow in Detroit as well.

Things will probably go south in a hurry. Good for the draft pick. They better use it wisely.

I don't mind losing, but the lack of intensity is excruciating to witness.

Final score: Cavaliers 119, Knicks 101

Every player in double figures except Nate because he had to leave early with an injury.

We shoot 41%, get outrebounded by 5 (48-43) but the story again is the defense (Cavs shot 53%) and we had way too many turnovers (17 vs. 8).

But the worst thing of all was that the Knicks really didn't care. It wasn't about new players on the team. It was about the Knicks not working hard after they closed the game to 17 - 16. They could've lost by a lot but playing hard. That wasn't the case and thats why tonight the game simply sucked.

It wasn't about talent, we lacked effort.

thanks for the breakdown... we have to expect this team to be inconsistent for another year or 2, but i agree, if they're gonna lose i can stomach it as long as it's not due to a lack of effort... good thing i didn't watch the game.

What, is this the team that will entice LeBron to sign with the Knicks?? Pathetic.

LeBron just told Knick fans to "keep an open mind" during his presser from his future home.

Yes. This is exactly the team we will have in 2010 to try to lure Lebron. Exactly the team.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

What LeBron was saying was, "Cleveland management, I am threatening to sign with the Knicks unless you pay me every dime that I want". And ofcourse Cleveland, when the time comes will oblige.

You know what your right, it will probably be a worse team. One maybe without Lee, Nate or Chandler.

Get this straight, LeBron is not going to go to a team that needs to go through rebuilding. He doesn't want to go through that again. Would you?

Didn't seem to be what he was saying at all.

He had a press conference after the game and he said Knicks fans should "keep an open mind." Then at the end of the presser he said "If you want to go to sleep until 7/1/10 it's gonna be a big day."

Thank God you aren't the Knicks GM. You know how much the Knicks can change in 2 years with the way Walsh is working? Relax, This was only step one of the plan. You think Walsh doesn't know he has a long way to go before he can sell this team to any free agent. But things can't happen as fast as we traded Jamal and Zach, It will take time.

Really? Great. He surely is enjoying himself and this situation. But he better be careful what he says because while he will never make any promise, because it would be tampering, he can say indirect things like that and get everyone hopeful. I must say, right now the worst thing anyone in NY can do is believe that in 2010 he will come to the Knicks. We gotta focus on the team we have right now and find ways to improve it WHILE leaving enough cap space for two max players in 2010.

I understood "keep open mind" means do not put too much hope into him coming to NY. Everybody must do their job regardless.
And organization which will work the hardest will be rewarded by getting leBron, other big FA, or just by being as good as it will not need any.

I'll remain hopeful but honestly I don't see him coming here. If his goal is to win championships, he can do that in Cleveland. They will also have the cap space to get LeBron a star in 2010 so we wouldn't even have that to lure him here. The only thing that we have is New York. The big stage, the bright lights, the historic arena. That's all we can offer and hope LeBron is interested in that.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I think its fool to think he will come or not. At this point I think he is really sincere when he says he doesn't know where he will end up. Things can change fast. Cleveland could win a championship. Could the Nets hurry up the plan on the arena or is that just out of the question? Cand the Knicks improve their team in less than 2 years, having both the talent and the cap flexibility to sign him and contend for championships right away? Will the Pistons surprise everyone and get him? Who knows at this point, so the best thing the Knicks can do is approach this situation like a fast forward rebuilding, getting cheap young talent, picks and trading the contracts that don't fit.
