Sources: Knicks have deal with Golden State for forward Al Harrington involving Jamal Crawford BY MITCH LAWRENCE AND FRANK ISOLA DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITERS

In what could be a lead-up to a bigger deal involving Zach Randolph and the opening of cap space for the summer of 2010, the Knicks are expected to make a deal later Friday with Golden State for forward Al Harrington.
In return, the Knicks will reportedly send Crawford to the Warriors. He was informed by his agent late Thursday night that he could be involved in an imminent trade.
Crawford makes $10.1 million in 2010-11, league sources said. The deal could also involve Golden State's Marco Belinelli, who coach Mike D'Antoni thinks can fit in his system.
Harrington, from New Jersey, has this season and next left on his contract. So he fits in with team president Donnie Walsh's blueprint for removing money from the team's payroll by the end of the 2009-10 season, so that the Knicks can make a legitimate run for LeBron James.
All the Knicks mentioned in the deal were in Milwaukee Friday morning to go through the team's shootaround. The Knicks play the Bucks Friday night.
Rose is at the end of his contract, while Crawford's deal runs through the 2010-11 season.
The Knicks then want to turn around and trade Randolph to a team like the Clippers for a package involving players whose contracts run out before July 1, 2010, the day James becomes a free agent. Randolph is scheduled to make $17.3 million in 2010-11.
Two Clipper players mentioned in a potential deal include Tim Thomas, a former Knick, and Cuttino Mobley.
The Knicks are committed to upwards of $52 million for the 2010-11 season. With the cap expected to be around $64 million in two years, Walsh needs to shed payroll so he can show James the money, which would be a maximum-salary contract. Among the other Knicks players whose contracts extend into that season are Eddy Curry, Jared Jeffries, injured rookie Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler. Walsh is open to dealing Curry, who makes $11 million in 2010-11, but he has not played this season and has no value.
