All that has to happen is Curry and Zach gets traded and those two contracts get divided. That's all that has to happen. From there, Donnie will make the right moves.
I'll never trust this' team again.

"I'm from there, so home is home for me," James said. "And that's the way I was putting it at that time. No matter where you go or if you ever move somewhere else, it doesn't matter. Home is always going to be home. And that was what I was basically letting them know."

And with that, LeBron managed to do a week's worth of work in a six-minute interview. He managed to say nothing offensive to his fans back in Cleveland while pushing the 2010 story forward yet again.

"When I decide to make that decision, it's going to basically put me in a position where I feel I can win multiple championships," LeBron said. "And if it's staying here, then I'll be here. And if it's moving elsewhere, then I'll have to look at all my options."

You do what's best for you and your family, and you do what's best for your career," James said. "Loyalty definitely has a big part to do with it, but the time that you spend with that respective team, you give a lot of loyalty to them. Every night I go out and I play hard, and that's loyalty."

No player owes his team any more than that.

The Cavs are well aware that LeBron has one foot out the door, and that he'll only pull it back if the Cavs win a title or two -- or at the very least are right on the doorstep. Look at the moves they've made in the past two years -- Ben Wallace, Wally Szczerbiak, Mo Williams. They're all about winning now.

"Yeah, we don't need to clear no cap space," coach Mike Brown said. "We just need to get busy right now. If we do, we're going to give ourselves a good chance ... just as good a chance as anybody."
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I think the fixation on Lebron is false. 2010 should be about shedding contracts and setting ourselves up for the future. If by doing this you put yourself in position to obtain a true star why wouldn't you try? I don't get how after 7 years of crap that the shedding of any contracts would bother anyone. Have we forgotten where we came from?

if nothing else the Knicks are the model of how to build championship teams based on their past history of success... why would u wanna mess with a winning formula?

The funny thing is that we really don't get tired of it.

i've been tired of it since 2002 bro... remember all those arguments on the MSG boards over wanting to tank the season for Yao & then for Lebron the year after... i wanted to do something other than continuing to aim for every meaningless win we could get just so we can sell a few more tickets & line Dolan's pockets... i wanna root for a damn championship team someday broham... i miss that feeling of pride i had in this team when i saw them in the Finals in '94 & '99... i wanna bring that feeling back to the Garden... & the only way we ever gonna do that is by getting a franchise stud to lead them there... this whole 2010 chase may be a pipedream or not but at least i wanna say we gave it an honest shot to realize it & not just a lotta lip service to appease disgruntled Knicks' fans over the crap they've had to put up with over the past decade.

I think thats what will really drive him somewhere else: if he sees that team can become a champion with his addition. That being the case, we have a lot of work to do and Walsh better not be SO patient if he gets a nice trade proposal NOW.

We can do this but the road will be extremely hard for Walsh as he needs to get packages that not only give him expiring contracts, but young players with real potential. He has to be flawless in his work, because there is already a team set to offer Lebron what he wants: Detroit.

Don't you get the feeling that just by negotiating an impossibly delicate situation (and signing the steady and generous Chris Duhon) with Marbury that Donnie Walsh has already made the right moves?

Fortunately, for Walsh, Isiah left behind some players that could actually play. Young guns Nate, Lee, Zach Randolph and The (loud applause) Mayor were ripe for a system and a belief they could make it work. The feistiness they showed in Boston is a good thing.

Morphing Curry and Zach's salaries into disappearing salaries, or productive talent will be complicated. If The Marbury Freeze strategy is any clue, expect the unexpected.

My spider sense tells me Donnie hoards draft picks and goes for frontcourt size.

(Frank Isola) Boston center Kendrick Perkins, a Garnett protégé who was involved in some of the trash talking, praised the Knicks, saying, "They are a different team from last year. They play hard and they play together."

In other words, after Quentin Richardson and Zach Randolph get ejected in the second quarter of the next Celtics game on December 21, who will replace them?

The Mayor needs someone to get his back.

The frontcourt competition for minutes is more fun the instant Harrington arrives. Any way you slice it, the 6'9 Jersey homeboy is a plus

For defensive change-ups, you can choose from Richardson - Harrington - Jeffries

For offensive versatility, D'Antoni can select from Chandler - Lee - Zach Randolph

Book it Dano

if Randolph is involved in this trade you can pretty much forget anything but Lebron.

Then again, if the three way deal goes through all bets are off and the 2011 Knicks instantly turn into the Extreme Makeover Edition
