In the game Gallinari played, I think they actually brought him in near the end of the game for a possible intentional foul situation, and then took him out for defense. I believe that all of you know that there are many instances when an injury becomes more of a problem the next day, but at the time of the injury the athlete is still able to play to some degree. I doubt the Knicks would have let Chandler play tomorrow (Mon.) if they had a game. I can guarantee that if this was a playoff series Gallinari would have played, and that if Gallinari had been given a choice he would have played in the other SL games for the Knicks.
Interesting to see that both Chandler and Gallinari were going through the same stretching exercise after they strained their backs. Makes me wonder whether these guys were working out too hard with their lifting. I could see someone like Gallinari trying to work out a little too hard to get stronger so that people like the ones who post in this forum

would't take shots at him about his lack of strength. The reports might have been simple PR, but I seem to remember comments made someone with the Knicks that Gallinari had really dedicated himself to the Knicks strength program. I work with HS athletes, and I have known guys who push too hard with the weights, and they do F themselves up sometimes.
Oh, by the way, don't hear people talking about Chandler's durability. The guy is build like a superhero, but he still got hurt. Also got hurt at the end of last year. Where's the fear and comments about Chandler? Lots of top guys got hurt this summer. No comments about brittle bones for Beasley, but lots of comments about Rose's knee. What about Gordon? Supposed to be built like a tank- got hurt anyway. And do you think that Bayless is not going to get hurt if he goes to the basket as much as he did in SL? You never know about injuries. From my childhood days, Willis Reed was a true gamer and hard worker but still got hurt.
Some of you guys really do have agendas. You "cherry pick" information regarding this or that player, and disregard anything that doesn't fit your position. Some of you should have disclaimers on any of your posts regarding Gallinari. NONE of you know for sure which player(s), if any, in this draft will super, solid, or a failure. I can see certain things that make me think Gallinari will be an excellent player someday, but I don't know how he will eventually develop. He could be the steal of the draft, he could be a solid cornerstone player on the Knicks for the next 12 years, but he could also end up being a just a good jump shooter who never reaches what some see his full potential to be. Why not just give the kid and the Knicks some time?
