I'll bet the Lakers would trade Bynum straight up for Dwight Howard or Chris Paul in a heartbeat, let alone Lebron James. Those trades would = a steal for the Lakers.

Bynum was statistically leading the league in effeciency when he was hurt

The only player in the league to average a double double while playing under 30 minutes Bynum
Leading the NBA in FG % Bynum nearly 64%--think about that for a second
avg playing time Howard 38 minutes Bynum 28 minutes--avg blocks bynum 2.1 Howard 2.2
assists Howard in 38 minutes 1.3 Bynum 1.7
To% Bynum best in league for a big man
The guy is off the charts while its comparable with Howard Bynum was number 1 in PER before he was hurt. He was the most effecient player in the NBA and hes two full years younger than Dwight. If Bynum was on the Knicks and playing like this you'd be wearing his jersey

dude, those deals would get u tarred, feathered & jettisoned off the rooftops of both the Magic & Hornets' main offices if u approached them w/that offer... please... Bynum is as yet a completely unproven commodity in the NBA... yes, he shows some good promise.. so do a lot of other young players in this league... right now he's a very good rebounder w/shotblocking ability & is starting to show a little bit of low post sccring ability... he's still learning the game & is very unpolished as of yet offensively... to say he's approaching top 10 status is completely laughable... he isn't even in the top 20 yet.

My point is really to BRIGGS that he is overvaluing Bynum, just like you are saying.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I don't care about PER BRIGGS. I think that I have made the point that you are overvaluing Bynum just a little bit, he is a distant 3rd best on his own team, PER and all.

If Bynum were here I'd be very happy to have a promising big man, but I wouldn't wear his Jersey because I don't where Jerseys not even Ewings. And I wouldn't be making grandiose statements like: "The only player I would trade straight up for Bynum is LeBron". That is loco talk.

i agree... Bynum is barely any better than guys like Tyson Chandler & Chris Kaman right now... he's only 20 yo so he's still got a ways to go before we can finally judge his upside but he's not near the top players in the NBA yet, not even close.
