Didn't hear about Crawford either. And he said he liked Balkman and Jefferies.

That's because he talked of only the low IQ players. Eddy, Zach, Steph, and Crawford.

No, he mentioned Crawford. He said he thinks Jamal is a solid player.

Looks like this Isiah-to-no-Isiah transition is second worst thing for Isles after Islanders this year...

[Edited by - arkrud on 04-02-2008 1:31 PM]

Isles post count is gonna drop off when Isiah is gone!

You guys know you'll miss me.

The media is already trying to get Walsh to say stuff and commit to their suggestions so they can hang him later!

Get ready for it Donnie! You ain't in Indiana no more!

oohah
Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I posted this on the ex-NY Times forum, but here's my attempt at summarizing/quoting Walsh later on about the roster:
What about Knicks overall talent? Who jumps out at you?

Want to know more about Curry

I know Craw is solid player

Don't know where Steph is

Like some parts of Jeffries and Balkman

Nate energentic, tempo changer

It's not the players, it's the mix

Some things missing or appears to be

draft is important

Zach is scorer. If one guy is in low post, can it work with two? thinking of Curry

sorry for mistakes...trying to speed type

SAS says "I would venture to say Isiah Thomas is in a world of trouble, based on what Donnie Walsh says."

This is a Dolan thing why Isiah is still in question.

Dumb question to SAS about age.

67 is nothing. My mother is going to be 68 this month and is still working and likes it. In fact, more studies show post 65 can benefit from working to keep them going.

He talked great of Isiah. Although he is most likely gone, he said he will not make any comment until he sits down with him.

I can't wait for Walsh first player transaction.

Based on that interview, in my eyes Isiah is gone. Isiah wasn't at the press confrence, Walsh refused to committ that there was a *possibility* that Isiah could be retained.

isles, SAS thinks based on the language.

I agree, honestly.

Walsh is subtly saying all of the things we want to hear, without throwing Isiah, Steph, Zach, Curry, etc under the train.

He's the anti-Larry Brown in that manner, and the anti-Isiah/Dolan/Layden in his assessment of the team's approach to roster changes.
