The knicks are gonna have to pay David to keep him in a few.....7-10 mill to keep a guy like lee sounds about right. So in those terms.....somebody has to go and that is Lee.

when Lee is making those dollars & Zach's contract is expiring, i would probably change my tune on things... the fact is though that we're paying Zach $61 mil over 4 years to be a Knick & D Lee's not even going to make close to half over the same span... is Zach really worth all that money if we're still gonna suck?

Yeah, those are guys that you WANT shooting the ball. Zach isn't.

Curry & Randolph are the type of guys that should have a stud PG creating for them rather than them controlling the ball in the post.

Tim Duncan, Garnett, Yao Ming are the only 3 in the NBA I would depend on to run my offense through the post. Even Ming might be questionable in that area, and might depend on a great guard. But he has way to much talent/skill/potential in the post. Gasol, Brand, J'Oneal, Shaq(now) are 2nd tier in the department.

*EZPASS* need a stud PG to dominate the ball and create dunks & alley-oops for them. They wouldn't win a championship since are frontcourt defense would still be horrible. But we would win some games.

How is it in guys like Zach and Curry who do command double teams average less than 2 assist combined?

Because the perimeter shooters can't hit the broadside of the barn. If your kicking it out to a guy like Stephon 35% shooting, Q 35% and Crawford 38%, Mardy 20% shooter and DLee, Balkman on the perimeter highly unlikely an assist is going to take place. There isn't one player on Knicks that cuts to the basket consistently, probably Balkman is the only one that does but not often. A lot of this is on Isiah and his ofensive plan. He isn't a good coach that is why his Pacer teams always hovered around .500, and soon as he left they began to produce more victories.

No, that's not it. These guys have had terrible assist numbers on all rosters they've ever played on. Heck David Lee gets more assists per 48 min than either of those guys do
