i look at it this way:

we needed a shooter.

we passed on almond.

we traded for a guy in the 2nd round who had promise as a shooter.

in the summer league he showed a great ability to hit outside shots.

we cut him.

now we're short on shooters and long on underproductive overpaid role players.

what is there to possibly defend about cutting nichols?

It's not about defending the deal. It's about not getting so worked up over Nichols.

Rodney Monroe was a shooter too.

On opening night lamenting the loss of superstar Demetris Nichols is the only correct course of action.
