Isiah is not as nice as he seems. He's not as accomodating as he seems. He's intense, but he doesn't show that to the fans. All I know is that he got thru to Steph and NO ONE has ever gotten thru to him. That's a good sign. From watching his taped practices it seems like he's more vocal and such in practice, tho that was for the cameras so who knows for sure.

I think it helps if the Coach is very demanding, but there's no way to know that Isiah isn't like that with his team. Another thing to remember is that teams do benefit from being together for a while. This will help us to continue to develop better chemistry on D. It's the breakdowns at critical times that kill us. We seem to defend well for the 1st couple of rotations and then at the very end someone will not get back out to the 3 and we end up giving up a wide open shot.

Steph is his body. And it is last chance for Steph to be anybody in this league. So no surprise
Yes - you can became better in a good company but in bad company you became worthless

So just because Steph has a relationship with him he can't get credit for getting thru to him? If you remember Steph did initially have issues with Isiah. Eventually Isiah wore him down, cuz he didn't give in. He embarrassed Steph at times when he was ineffective and he would take him out. In the end it paid off. He knew how to get to him without making it a war of words in the media.

Isiah has been adding stronger defenders to this roster, but they've mostly been younger players and it will take some time for them to excel on the NBA level and jell. It's only a matter of time before we start to see better results. Just remember that we lost a year of development in LB's season. Last year was the 1st year under Isiah and in this system. There's a good chance that they're going to get better the more they play in it together. They don't have to be great defenders, but if we can shave some points off of our avg from last year we'll be in good shape.

Nixluva: You are correct, it is possible, it could happen. We talked about this last year too. Let's hope that this year the possible becomes something tangible on the court instead of just us talking about the possibilities again next offseason.
