Anniversary vacations last more than one day. They get scheduled mmonths in advance. Eddy didn't even know Aguiree was hatching this idea up when he scheduled his vacation.

Yeah, because when the team gets together at summer league it isn't something planned out in advance.

When you have 5 months off and tens of millions of dollars, vacations can be planned that afternoon. Or maybe you think Curry is on Travelocity months in advance, booking his trip?

"Honey, I'm sorry but I have to postpone our trip for a few days. To make it up to you, we'll go away for 3 months instead of just 2."

Bingo.

When did this voluntary TEAM get together get organized? I started hearing about it at the start of SL. When do vacations have to be planned?

Yeah, Bingo that.

Ok, I will. You're wrong. The Knicks have been off for three months. Bingo.

Yeah, Drew, we're all free men (those of us not living under the fat thumbs of our wives, that is).

I'm free to ask why Isles bothers contributing here. Just like you are free to allow posts that suggest our players should be executed while locking a thread because you got called a buffoon.

It’s all good.

if you think the thread got locked cause the mods got the buffoon call, you are waaaaayyyy off. Good try though.

and what if Curry has been working out every other week besides the anniversary week? What do you say to that?

No I don't buy this to each his own stuff. For one thing if you're a fan of a team you have to at some point be critical, but just the same you also have to recognize the positive things that are happening. I know that people seem to think i'm some kind of nut job Knick fan who only sees the good side of everything, but that's not even close to being true. I make a LOT of comments about the problems I see on this team and i'm openly expressing the lack of D, the inconsistency, the poor moves Isiah has made.

The difference between me and some of the more vocal negative posters like Islefan, Solace and TrueBlue is that I will acknowledge the good things that are happening too. They don't ever do that. I challenge any of these guys who label me to say that I never criticize the team, cuz they know that's not true. But just try to find the positive comments that they have made if you can. Where is their sense of balance? I know for a fact that I have more balance to my posts than any of them.

What happen tho is that I make a LOT of posts in defense of the team and to refute some of the things that these guys say, which I find to be over the top. So because I happen to respond to their negative posts the most, then I'm labeled as a shill for the Knicks and unbalanced. I'm just trying to provide the other side of the coin, cuz I really do believe these things are true and not properly being represented by this very loud minority of negative posters.

Yeah, no more of this "to each his own" stuff. "To each not his own".

this to each his own...meaning each person expresses themselves in different emotional degrees. Some very analytical...some overly passionate.

Here we go again with threads turning into who are the real fans and who aren't. People seriously need to get a life. We're all here for the same reason and if people don't express that reason the same way you do than thats too damn bad. Like it or not everyone here is a Knicks fan(and a passionate one at that) and if you can't respect their opinion then either don't pay any attention to the post or find some other place to voice your opinions on the Knicks... it's that simple.

I don't want to put too fine a point on this, but it isn't really that simple.

Threads get locked here because people might get offended when posters are called "bad names".

But fans get offended when the guys they root for get called names too, and they might get downright pissed if someone suggests they be shot. Sorry, but that is an opinion no one should respect, Knick fan or no Knick fan.

And the rabid "emotion" of some New York fans displayed here isn't as insignificant to Knick discussion as you might think. Its out there on every New York Sports talk show, its pandered to in every piece Marc Berman writes, and if you don't think the media attention effects players you aren't paying attention to what is happening in any sport in this city.

Why does Dolan feel you can't rebuild here? What reason did Phill Jackson give for not even considering a position on this team? Why was Larry Brown more concerned about how he was viewed by this press then getting his players to play better.

It is all related, and in my opinion, worth discussing.

This is a guy that was out out a car dealership at 3 in the morning last year the night before a game with a women who was not his wife, which i saw and you guys are acting like eddy children from multiple women curry is a big family man, that couldn't reschedule a vacation when he has another two months off. Its not like the guy has a real job and this is something that takes months of planning......

They all should have went, period, you bringing in lazy players that are welfare cases waiting to happen if they didn;t cash in on their height thats what happens, you bring in hard workers you get guys Q and Lee that are their when you need them.

that's crap man.

You could also say that Aguire knew when Eddy's vaca schedule was going to be and didn't make 1 iota of effort to plan around it or at least make an effort to post-pone it by a week.

Isles, you know how much planning went into Eddy's vaca? Cause I wanna know how many people were going, how many extended family members, how long and where. I hear those trips down to the Caribbean for a week can be re-arranged for 12 poeple in a day on Travelocity lickity-split.

Just cause summer Leauge is happening doesn't mean big men were going to show up. And Randolph was just traded for a couple of weeks ago, right? Curry was supposed to re-adjust for that?

You are about as far out as nixluva is some times.

Half the team and entire coaching staff are there for the summer league. I'm guessing it wasn't a spur of the moment gathering.

When you have 5 months off and millions of dollars, do you take the entire extended family for a wedding anniversary vacation or do you plan a family vacation for another part of your 5 month's off? I find it extremely hard to believe that his vacation schedule is that inflexible.

That nixluva comparison really hurt deep.

I not putting Q in any great hero award myself. I am a little sick of seeing the guy wear suits. If anything I would like to see him and Lee go a couple of games in the summer league. I still can't believe Lee's ankle is an issue.

But Drew, didn't you read Isles' post on how since Eddy is rich rules that apply to us don't apply to him?

Well, if you missed it, he's about to post it again....for the seventh time.

Come on, if his wife is "understanding" enough to watch him knock up multiple different women, I think she would understand if they had to postpone a vacation for a couple of days.

Curry should take his kids out of school during April/May/June for a week or 2 right? That's a good thing or do most wait until summer to go on vaca with their family? Like, in the beginning of summer. July for instance.

Just as you are guessing about everything you just responded with, I am guessing that Curry was too busy in April/May/June working out to go on vaca during that time.
