and when does that happen? In the media or on the court. YOur expecting us to jump up and down over on paper aquisitions when the last 3 years we have done that only to find a subpar season.

I think for the most part UK mafia like to vent and won't drink the kookaid any more until the abstract becomes tangable and we can at least make the damm playoffs. Just the Playoffs man, not much more!

While Eddy is working out, and Zach is aquired we all know the potential is there but on paper Zeddy appears to be redundant and its tough to get jacked up over some things.

We all dig Balkys energy and effort as well as Lee, but these are not top tier players.

WE have some nice roll players but with Isiah putting the team together we have yet to see any cohesiveness that equates to a "Team" effort.

Granted some folk get off more to being right more than the team winning.

Nalod come back to me man. Did I ask anyone to jump up and down due to the team improving the roster? What I would like to see is more fans actually recognize that the team has improved. Just remember that Lee and Balk are still new to the league and that they are developing players. As are many of the other players on this team. But you can't deny the talent these guys have. It's more than evident. Last year was the beginning of the turnaround and I believe that if you're honest you'd admit that there's a VERY good chance this team is much better this year and from here on.

We all saw this team start to come together and play like a team last year. What we were all frustrated with was the lack of consistency from game to game or even qtr to qtr. You know darn well that this team could look good and then look lethargic the next game. That was the only real frustration. But you have to acknowledge that once again isiah has improved the team and we don't have nearly as many holes as the year before along with the improvement were likely to get from within. Just not starting the year so lost as a group will be a big help. We're deeper and more talented. Exactly what is there to be so nonchalant or pessimistic about? Most everything that's happened has been positive.

We got rid of Francis and Frye who wasn't working out. Then we added Zach an All Star type player and 2 young studs in the draft. Man then we here Q and Lee are healthy. SO what is the negative in all of that? This is what's so annoying to me. For the 1st time in years we look like we've got a team that will be in the playoffs and with a chance to do damage. I don't fear any team in the East at this point.

Here is the problem

Marbury, Collins, Nate, Dickau
Crawford,Jones
Q, Balkman, Jefferies, Nicholas, Chandler
Zach, Lee, Morris, Rose
Curry, James

Where is the balance on the roster to find the very good role players minutes.......

Isiah wants to play everyone about 35 minutes a night, balkman and lee need about 30 minutes i would love to give collins 18, nicholas 10........

The Sonics added 2 young studs in the draft. The Knicks added 2 guys who you hope can be good role players in a couple of years.

What's the negative? You planning on discussing why the Blazers were to hellbent on getting rid of Zach? Or his contract?

One can only hope Eddy is working hard, but I have to say we heard these same things last year, granted he did increase his stamina and was able to showcase his offensive ability a bit more he was still a horrible rebounder and just bad defensively. I hope he's in the gym working on these things and not soley on his offense.

We heard the same things before his first year here too as soon as he signed with the Knicks.

You guys are interrupting my vaca in the Caribbean to make this comment...Both statment are not true...When Eddy joined the Knicks it was widely discussed that Eddy did not work out over the summer because of his heart condition...It was after the trade with the Knicks and after his battery of exams adminstered by Knick doctors he began to work out after a 8 month layoff...

Also we he people talking about Curry working out in Chicago looking no diferent during the summer than he did during his season under Brown...Cut the guy some slack..It's good to see him make the effort to hopefully become this team's franchise player...Eddy Curry in shape could be a monster in this league..Let's see how it turns out...Back to my rum punch..

Don't be leaving yet.. what did I say that was wrong? Last year wasn't Eddy's first with the Knicks. I thought I made a very valid statement, what did I say that isn't true? Eddy wasn't a good rebounder, he wasn't good on D but his offense and stamina went up, which is good but still he has to work on the other things.

Don't throw blanket statements.

nyk4ever, it's not that you said anything wrong, but your observation is that somehow he failed when in fact he made some progress and we can be hopeful that he again makes some progress in the areas where he is weak. If he is indeed getting to work earlier and also doing the things he said he was going to work on, then there's nothing to be pessimistic about. Some may not appreciate it, but he did improve last year. If he makes a similar level of improvement this year we'll be in great shape.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Nix,

You should write copy for a tobacco company, your that good!

Look, the last 3 years we have better talent and make moves but the results are not there.

Thats all I am saying. We get younger, more athletic, have more upside potential, and each year we are not progressing enough to make the playoffs in the most pathetic conferances of all time!

Sure We got rid of francis, but wasn't getting a POSITIVE?

Frye was a POSITIVE and im one of the few that did not want to get rid of him so fast. I thought Isiah misused him, but if the coach don't want him, thats ok too.

Im not at all saying Z-Bo was a bad trade, but im not jumping down until this POSITIVE talent pool provides some tangable results.

With this payroll, this amount of talent, I think anything other than a winning record is a losing record, and thats my measure.

Nalod, I agree that the team needs to actually WIN this year. I don't regard last year as more evidence that the moves haven't worked tho. The record only makes it seem like there's no progress, but you saw this team and it was clear they could play. They were just not consistent. One day we'd battle with Dallas and lose to some scrubs the next night. We could compete with anyone, but we also let up on teams we should've crushed. Just remember that this is a team that relied heavily on 2nd yr and rookie players. It hasn't come as fast as we would like. BUT IT WILL COME!

Later man.. enjoy the rest of your vacation, lord knows I'd love to be in the Carribean right now.

Nix, I understand your viewpoint but it's kinda like saying "6 of one" and "a half dozen of the other"

I hope Eddy works out with more intensity than he plays basketball. If he doesn't, we're in trouble.

Hope you're having a good vacation holfresh!
