I agree that was a bad time for a heat check. Either way, like I said, no one else stepped up besides him on offense. And the fact that Earl Watson of all people was bombing treys on us is very unsettling.

From the small snippet I heard of isiah's press conference it sounds like his primary blame is going to missed free throws- not the least by Steph, but the overall poor percentage shot.
But isn't our biggest problem in fact poor perimeter defense? I don't know where we rank in FT%, but I did hear we're 26th in perimeter defense.
Is it possible that Isiah harps on the FTs because it's a subtle deflection of personal blame? IOW he directs the blame to the players themselves rather than his shortcoming at a GM at getting good defenders, or as coach for getting the guys to hustle to the perimeter.
I don't know, but personally I'd like to see us better at getting stops and not having to wonder who's gonna have a career night on us than raising our FT% every now and again.
Not to mention these awful starts which are becoming routine again.
