here's one for the nyc people:

"PIX...PIX...PIX"

now, if you know where that's from, you get some major props.
That was the funniest. Listen to some kid yell, "PIX PIX PIX PIX . . ." as fast as they could, then switch over to UHF to watch the Uncle Floyd Show.

Holy Shoyt, Freaking "Uncle Floyd". I spend a week in the hospital when I was like 20 and stoned out of my mind on pain killers and recall staying up with my girlfriend laughing at that dumb silly crap.

Ok, your really old if you remember "Wonderama" show! Soupy Sales? 10:30pm "sports extra" will Bill Mazer!

How about "Fernwood2nite" with Martin Mull and Fred Williard?

I used to see World B Free in the hood a lot as a kid...He used to come to our local park and balled...Our park was known for good hoops...So pros would stop by and ball from time to time...You knew he was in the hood when his silver and black Mercedes was parked out front...Imagine as a kid that you were balling on one court and World B Free was on the next court...Man those were the days...

Happy Kyne, actually (aka Fred Duvall). What a riot he was. I loved when Martin Mull would interview Happy, and Happy was always so serious and gloomy. I also loved the big headphones Happy would wear while orchestrating. And how about when Mull would drink cans of beer on the set and then toss the empties behind him.

Extra credit for anyone who can name the show that Fernwood Tonite spun off from.
