All he does is shoots the basketball like a shooting guard. He never goes to the hole and most of the year Lee has to attempt to guard three men and Duncan and Ming. I just think the team needs to be balanced out with a perimeter defender and Frye and lee are your two best commodities.

Do you think Frye played a more balanced game last year..Inside/out?

Absolutely he did but I think he game changed and if that was IT doing then it is bad coaching. You dont sacrifice a young players game for a .400 record. If Frye has both games let him show people and create matchup problems. Right now you can put anyone on him because he roams the perimeter

Frye is a PF and is better suited to play the position as a PF...he can play center but his game and body is suited for a PF..

really? Look around the league. Frye is 6'11 250. Thats above average

Why is IT playing him ahead of Frye if he can guard anyone that is what I want to know? Frye or Lee either one can guard consistently, so IT is playing the one he trusts.

Aren't you the same one crying about Isiah not playing Lee enough? So what he doesn't start, he comes off the bench and still plays more minutes than Frye and is usually in there when it counts most.

That is my point...It makes no sense to Lee not to hold his man because they are physically suited for other positions....You don't make sense when you say why should Lee run out on 3's when he is really a 4...

the fact that he's put in the position to be guarding people out on the perimeter is ridiculous. It's not his position.

What about when HE has to guard the players I listed?

Kevin Garnett
Dirk Nowitzki
Shawn Marion
Tim Duncan
Chris Bosh
Jermaine O'Neal
Pau Gasol
Andrei Kirilenko
Boris Diaw
Mehmet Okur
Chris Webber
Lamar Odom
Shareef Abdur-Rahim
Rasheed Wallace
Antawn Jamison
Antione Walker
Donyell Marshall
Robert Horry

That's fine, he would be expected to guard them and if he sucks he's doing it then he sucks, but to cry foul over him not getting out to guard Carlos Delfino who is a combo guard is ridiculous. Besides, Lee can keep up with every one of those guys you mentioned. Can he play D on guys like Dirk, KG, Duncan? Who knows not many can.c

Totally disagree with you here. True, you can't expect Lee to be able to keep up with Delfino for the whole game. But with less than 10 seconds on the clock and the everyone in the building realizing the Pistons needed a 3 to tie, I don't care if Ewing was trying to guard him, he should have been in his shirt.

I dont know what games you guys have been watching but I have seen Frye showcase a beautiful hook shot from about 6-12 feet out along the baseline. He also has mad several shots in that area off the glass. This idea that the guy only shoots jumpers isn't true. Also, Frye has been developing a presence in the interior as someone who challenges shots, hes just gotta get his timing right.

i mostly agree. i think frye has more potential on defense than curry. and he has a more versatile offensive game than he's been able to showcase this year- doing some of the stuff killa mentioned. i don't know if he's going to be able to reach his full potential in the IT-Curry offense.

that's one reason i think it would be better for him to come off the bench and be a featured offensive player. the crap about not wanting to hurt his confidence is, uh, crap.

that's true... but D Lee's positive effect on games in terms of rebounding, putbacks off the glass to clean up missed shots from teammates, passing & finishing off lane penetration by the Knick guards gives the team more... he needs to be seeing the majority of minutes out of the PF position.

If you measure talent in stats Lee is good. If you measure talent in a players impact on the game, Lee is the best Knick we have.

Lee plays harder than any Knick
Lee is as athletic as any Knick
Lee produces as much as any Knick
Lee is more consistant than any Knick

Is Marbury and Curry played with Lee's heart they would be Jason Kidd and Shaq.

As for being in bad shape do you mean worse than .400 ball and capped out for 3 more years?

Lee is a very good player no doubt but some here are a little delusional...allow me to sort you guys out...

Marbury has played harder than any other Knick since the brawl including Lee..
Balkman is most athletic, then Marbs..
Marbs is most productive since the brawl..
Marbs,Curry and Craw has been the most productive Knick since the brawl..
Lee has been the most consistent Knick..

If you are a rebounder, consistency is easier to achieve than if you were a scorer...

If Lee post 10 rebounds..Consistency is achieved...Marbs needs to score 18 pts 7 asst, 2 boards and play good defense to be consistent...But they all play for my team so...ONE LOVE...

A quick note: Don't you dare cheer for Nate Robinson! That is like condoning his fighting and will only cause him to repeat such displays in order to garner your affection and approval!

Oh please..Thats for those people who are concerned about being politically correct..I cheer that fact that he is back and he will help the team..He will learn from this..10 games is alot so he will be ok....JR Smith got a big applause in Denver in his return...We tend to over scrutinize things here in NY.. We are cheering the fact that he is back....

hence fish's love affair...if he were black, he'd be balkman, and no chanc anybody calls for him to get more burn.

I love lee, but getting sick of reading how he's the best knick...we won last night...everyone elses contributions ignored.

in 30 minutes I wanna see more than 10 points and 10 boards to be the best knick.

if he is our best player, we are in trouble.

I love david lee&m but stop being racist. give the other hustle players their props as well.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare
