Great game from Eddy, great game from Lee. Our frontline decimated the Memphis frontline.. they sorely need Gasol back.

And Eddie Jones and Damon Stoudamire and Kyle Lowry.

^ Correct on both counts. It's criminal that Mardy doesn't play.

Why? Lets be honest,we know NOTHING about Mardy...perhaps theres a reason he isnt playing?

True. Damn, they are missing some pretty good players.

I don't wanna go off on a tangent, but I still wish Isiah had picked Lowry when he didn't pick Marcus Williams. I love what Lowry brings to the game.

Why was Craw in that game at the end. He sometimes forgets about the team offense and just waits for the ball so he can go 1 on 1. Tonight he was pathetic and was still in the game at the end.

Curry is playing well. Same with Lee and Q. Steph is even coming around, but that last pass to Q with almost no time left on the shot clock could have been a killer. He is lucky Q bailed him out.

We should have won this game by 20.

The frontline was tremendous. I wonder when the last time we got that sort of a game from all three members of the front line was.

Curry was huge again. I am glad to see the team looking for him at other times instead of just strict post ups. I've been begging for more misdirection to help give him some room. As it is they were so focused on him that they got burned by other Knick players a lot. If we hit more of our shots this wouldn't have even been close.

We still suffer from mental lapses and down time in each game. I think part of it is that we haven't been getting the same contributions from Jamal and Nate as we did early in the season. We had to win and they did, so i'm happy about that. Now let's pick up the pace and get some more wins.

I agree with your post Nix. It's great to see the guards making a distinct effort to get the ball down to Curry nearly every time down the court and it's good to see Eddy convert on those attempts.

The mental lapses really worry me though because this has been a problem with this team for years and it's still not settled. I really think this team would take off if they had a true PG in there.

I'm sure that would help, but really it's just a travesty that Jamal didn't pick up from where he left off last year. He's not passing the ball and it makes no sense. When he does pass it, it's always a high risk type pass. If we could just get him and Nate to follow the lead of Steph and Francis, who are now much more focused on getting the ball to Curry and Lee. That one change would make all the difference in the world for this team.

i think they got into bad habits early in the year with all those comebacks. They weren't passing then, just chucking and running, so it made them think that's all they're supposed to do when they come in. Jamal has been shooting a low % all year and getting off easy cuz everyone was focused on Steph.

Ahh Nix, you bring up a great point. If Jamal did indeed pick up where he left off last year, things would be looking better for this team. I wonder if Jamal only played that way last year because he knew it was going to be the only way he'd get into the game? Either way, one of the lone bright spots from last year was Jamal and now he's quickly reverted back to his old self this year in Isiah's Fun and Gun. It's too bad really.

Jamal is better starting. Franbury needs to go. He played better because he was starting and Francis and Marbury were on the sidelines. Nate played better too.

jamal was more measured all of last year, but he really only played well at the end when Steph was sitting out with sore knees and jamal had the starting spot. by then, because of the way Brown used him almost exclusively at the point, and mostly with the second unit, by that time of year, when most of the veterans were sitting,he felt comfortable in the PG role, and leadership role of the youth movement.

Now his role is confused again. Isiah has him in there at both positions, or in some netherworld combo position, and he tweaks him in practice about having a "button' he can switch to come in hot, and until last week or so he was our go-to gunner.

jamal is a good kid but he is not a smart player. he needs someone riding him to be ethusiastic and confident while also being conservative, and he really needs a clearly defined role. Since being here his position has shifted by seasons; 04/05 = starting SG, 05/06 BU PG, 06/07 backup combo go-to gunner.

And to make matters worse, he was similarly adrift in his time in chicago.

I can't say I know how to best utilize him, but the comments I've seen from his sister's realgm account tell me he's not happy playing backup to stiffbury, and i can't imagine he feels secure in his role or stability here, and as far as i can see he might be en route to his worst season since he's been here.

He's someone we either need to learn how to use properly or trade him for someone more stable. he's essentially at the point in his career that Fugazy (TT) was when we brought him here, and we know how well that worked out.

Sadly, "a fugazy' might be the best overall description of the kind of players Isiah excels at obtaining. it's okay to have one or two enigmas on a team, but you can't go far with so many at your core (Marbury, Francis, Nate, Jamal, Jerome, Frye? Eddy? etc)
