wooooohoooo!!!!!!!!

I can finally go back to being excited about this team! its a real team now! this team with Larry Brown can do serious damage! I think Curry really wanted to come to the Knicks and reunite with his friend Jamal so he refused to take the DNA test to keep Paxson in doubt! Brilliant! Now he's going to blossom in NY under Larry and we're finally going to build a real team!

C-Curry/James
PF-Frye? or Curry?
SF-Q/Lee
SG-Crawford/Ariza
PG-Marbury/Nate

Good Riddance Tim F'N Thomas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodluck Sweetney!!!!

I think Paxson jumped the gun on this deal a little. Other teams were interested but Curry refusal to even play if he is forced to sign the minimum hurt Paxson alot. No leverage.

HERES THE DEAL, CURRY AND AD FOR SWEETNEY, TT, JERMAINE JACKSON AND DRAFT PICKS

Source?
MSG SPORTSDESK, IM SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW WE KEPT ARIZA AND LEE

GREAT DEAL!

I have got a couple of different sources that confirm Ariza and Lee not in deal and Curry/AD for Sweets/TT and picks going back and forth.

I still don't get the AD/TT switch. That's a wash and it's almost better for the Knicks since he can be traded near the deadline to a contender.

C-Curry/James/AD
PF-Frye? or Curry?/Rose/Taylor
SF-Q/Lee
SG-Crawford/Ariza
PG-Marbury/Nate
Coach-Larry Brown

That actually looks like a decent team.

I think Curry starts at Pf with James at C. Curry is a low post scorer whereas James is a stronger defender. It will be interesting to see what Larry does with this crazy team.

TT is a max player, Sweetney was set to earn I think about 4 million. That's like $19 million right there, sign and trade so we now know that Curry got some money but not the max.

No way Curry can play PF. He'll start, Big Snack will back up. We have a hell of a bench now.

Nate
H20
Ariza
Frye
James

Marbs

Q should be able to get close to 7 RPG at SF.

I like the deal and I agree to deal AD to a contenter, and get back a player that one of those teams do not need and that we need. I agree with that. Good deal. Is there any insurnace on Curry though if his heart is bad?

Thinking it over, is Curry really a bigger risk than McDyess was, at least in the basketball sense?

How is Antonio Davis a "big surprise".

That was basically the only way to make it work.

Big surprise would've been Nocioni or something like that...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

That's a good question. It's hard to answer. But we certainly gave up A LOT more to get McDyess than what we reportedly gave up to get Curry. And Curry probably has more upside than a healthy 6'9" Dyess had.

Sweets earns about $2+ this year. He and TT combine for about $16M. AD makes just under $14, same as TT. So what does that put Curry at?

I have to say no. While Curry had a serious issue with his heart, it actually didn't really cause him to slow down. He was not cleared to play basketball. You would be surprise about the number of people who suffer heart ailments of some type. It is the least perfect muscle. Some guys playing now have some ailment that they will never know about during their careers. It is possible for one person with known heart ailments to outlive a person who had no signs of trouble. McDyess had an injury that was debilitating, he suffered a serious knee injury, and he was an athlethic guy who depended on his ability to jump.
