Odom came through in this game. Why is ESPN promoting Chris Anderson so much? LOL, I never heard such hype for a guy who had a couple of blocks.

I see that the conference finals Billups has reared his ugly head. Bad shots and turnovers galore.

Oh really he recovered from something that you aren't even sure what he was addicted to. That is one of the oddest recoveries I ever heard of.

I think the focus has been on Odom. The Lamar the Lakers are used to, the Lamar the Lakers need to win, the passionate Lamar.

That's just the thing we seem to know about someone pot abuse then what really happen with Anderson. I don't get the league special treatment here. Hell Stern talks about Len Bias cocaine overdose more than he has even mention Anderson's addiction to... It is very strange IMO.

I am sure that the law prohibits the NBA from revealing anything about Anderson's violation. Anderson obviously does not want it to be known. He appears to have overcome it. He also played his way into the NBA and has played a huge role in the success of the Nuggets. I am not sure he would be the impact player he is on other teams but he definitely has a role and fills it with the Nuggets.

Hell, maybe the "Birdman" was simply smoking too many packs of cigarettes each day- looks like Anderson also has some smokeless tobacco tucked in beneath his lower lip. I have always seen him with this while he plays. He obviously needs the comfort of nicotine.

Am I wrong about this observation?

From an ESPN Article: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3214792

Andersen has never publicly said which drug he tested positive for, and league and union officials are prohibited under collective bargaining rules from disclosing that information.

Andersen tested positive for a "drug of abuse" -- defined as amphetamines (and their derivatives), cocaine, opiates, PCP and LSD

u gotta figure it's either heroine, coke, crack or meth, cuz those are the more known addictive ones & he failed 4 drug tests to get that 2 year ban in the first place.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Not really disagreeing with you but..

You would figure when you are faced with doing drugs and getting banned from your livliehood or stopping that drug and the choice you make is to keep doing that drug then you are probably addicted, no?

Nene turned into a crackhead last night. He lost the game for the Nuggets.

Brazil must have something good going on. He lost control of himself. Took some ugly shots and his defense was spotty and had bad fouls. That last one was bullsshizat, but I don't think the referees were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt either. He was screaming at them a number of times before hand. He dug himself and the team in a big hole.

nobody is talking about him but Rashard Lewis has been the scale tipper for the Magic these play-offs.

His shooting got the Magic past the Celtics and his game 1 and game 5 heroics are the reason why Orlando is up 3-1.

there's the whole ref thing, and i agree that the officiating seems a little skewed. i blame this on the home court crowd-- it takes a little off many visiting players and probably does the same thing to the officials. the game is very fast paced and the noise and excitement of a home crowd in the playoffs is enough, imo, to subconsciously tip the internal scales of all but the most callous individuals.
