A lot of people had him going #1 at the start of the year. I can't say that I watched the Ignite much this year but it sounded like his J abandoned him.

Tyus for veteran minimum is insane. No one is touching the MLE under the new CBA. Its just max and min deals.

I’m guessing if there was a real offer to him it would have already been out there. He knows the Knicks either need to sign him or need his contract via sign and trade to execute another trade they want. One wild card team is New Orleans though. They have no center other than Theis and Missi whom they just drafted. Achiuwa would be a solid versatile piece next to Zion. But for those reasons I just want him back.

Or maybe Knicks are the only team genuinely interested

Tyus gets to start and earn a bigger contract next year when there is more free agent money available.
Maybe he had offers for more money but a back up role.
PHX might be a great opportunity for him.

Feeling a lot better about the OG extension.

Brunson first year of his extension is $35m. OG is $36.6, Jarrett at $28m.

I wonder what’s going on with McCullar. It’s clearly a health concern with his knee, but seems like unfinished business there. He’s been injured since the college season. Did he ever actually get a surgery ? This is all the reason he fell out of the first round. His stock was as high as middle of the first round (even late lottery) at one point. On paper the Knicks got a steal and a perfect fit. Is he a 2-way guy? Or is there still a chance they use the 15th roster spot on him. All unknowns at this point but it’s an interesting situation.

There was rumor floated out on one of the podcasts that his knee condition might be degenerative. Let's hope not for his sake.

All rookies give up their medicals now so I doubt our FO would draft him knowing his knee injury is career threatening.

Knicks sign Chuma Okeke from ORL. Played in ORL for 4 seasons averaged 6.3 ppg and 3.7 rpg.

Would the Knicks let McCullar go unsigned if he's out for the year? Retain his rights and re-visit when healthy?

Worth a gamble considering where he was taken.
