You guys still don’t think the draft isn’t rigged eh? We had the second worst record in 2014, No top 3 pick. Worst record in 2017 and barely got the 3 pick meanwhile the pelicans have won the draft lottery twice in ten years, the lakers pretty much get top 3 picks at will

I am still leaning on the side that it is not rigged but there are a lot of strange draft lotteries. Cleveland won the Lebron draft. The Bull won the Rose draft. The Lakers moving up in the draft when they needed assets to trade for AD. The Pels winning the draft after trading AD. Cleveland winning multiple drafts after Lebron left. Wolves constantly winning drafts. The Grizz huge jump to get Ja. All these events seem a little fishy. In the end I just think our luck is the worst.

I was sceptical too until last year when I jokingly started that thread where I predicted the lottery results if the draft was rigged, and was mainly right😂 I said the raptors would get a top 4 pick as reward for agreeing to play in Tampa last season.

Still, until we know for sure, I agree, if you have a bad record with 20 or 15 games to go, I’d rather tank then, rather than try to win those meaningless games, only to then have to tank the entire next season to give yourself the best shot of getting a top 4 pick, because you couldn’t sufficiently upgrade the roster with top pick talent in the offseason (because you ended up picking late lottery).

I’m still scratching my head the audacity of David Stern rigging the 1993 draft 1 year after the Magic got Shaq

If people are dumb enough to still think the nba draft is and was never rigged. No wonder these corporations and bankers think they can get away with anything

What happened during that draft? I was too young back then so I have no idea what was fishy about it.

Stern dropped the ping pong ball, and then pulled one out of his mouth. The slight of hand was pretty convincing.

The thing about Grizz is they are so young and athletic. They can run most teams out of the gym. The worst team they could have faced was another talented young and athletic team like Minny. They cancel out a lot of each others positives. Minny's problem is they are pretty low IQ. They make a ton of dumb mistakes. If they had cut down on those mistakes they could have had a commanding lead in this series.
