I get what your saying, but what does the avg superstar miss on a regular basis? 5% of games, 10% of games? The benchmark of 82 games might not be realistic, so the baseline 65 games might not be so inaccurate.

Pulled regular season games played for the 15 All NBA players from 2019, 2021*, and 2022 (excluding 2020 since not all teams played same # of games; *2021 was a 72 game season). Small sample size, currently trending downwards on # of games played.

2019 - guys played total of 1,082 out of possible 1,230 games. Avg. 72.13 games played (88%), 9.87 games missed (12%).

2021 - guys played total of 909 out of possible 1,080 games. Avg. 60.6 games played (84%), 11.4 games missed (16%). Over an 82 game season, this would be 69 games played (nice) and 13 games missed.

2022 - guys played total of 1,009 out of possible 1,230 games. Avg. 67.27 games played (82%), 14.73 games missed (18%).

When you take out LeBron (who has missed 27, 27, 26 games from the sample), averages go up roughly +1 game played each year.

Hard to argue the results except Vaughn in Brooklyn. He did replace Nash and had his whole team turned around. The level of dysfunction with the "Diva Roster" and then all the pieces received via trade.

nurse is still a great coach. this isn't a scapegoat type situation. if it was, nurse would've been let go over a week ago but both he and masai were still on good terms and talking the entire week. it's just one of those situations where stuff happened this year and they both tried to resolve it and weren't able to. sometimes relationships just fizzle out...like fishmike's relationship with soap.

and from nurse's POV, he won't have as much juice as he has right now as a free agent coach so i'm sure he flexed some of his muscles this year too and wouldn't mind a change either. he's been on the sidelines for 10 years!

alot of rumors of him to houston but if philly, denver, clippers all fall short in the postseason, they should really go after him. he can now take his time finding a spot if he wants to.

I think a trade involving IQ and OG makes sense for both parties. I'm assuming FVV isn't returning. Word on any other suitors out there.

during the deadline, i came on here saying a deal that makes sense would be og for iq + toppin + pick(s). i don't think toppin really has any value. obviously you guys all love IQ and will probably feel like that's an overpay but teams looking to make deep playoff runs need an OG more than an IQ. i think more would have to be attached personally but i get it if you guys don't agree.

I understand OG me a guy we target but not to over pay for. IQ and Obi have helped the team to a 4th place and 5 place in the East in three years and their contributions have increased every season. What has OG done and the others done since Kawai left ? I understand Obi may not have value around the league as players like Hachimura, Bey, Hyland went for second rounders and the draft is the source of inexpensive bench players. However, that also lowers the contract demand for a player like Obi. I can't see Obi getting a large contract on the market or guaranteed starter minutes on a competitive team so I see Obi getting a extension on a fair deal and him remaining While I see IQ getting a extension that is fair on the market and him also staying to see this team compete. Team is about building team culture. Also the team won't sell low on a good young player and RJ may still be able to get coached up to improve his rough edges. If Toronto will take protected firsts and second rounders and Evan to match salary I'm sure they'll consider it, other wise there are other deals they can make to improve around the margins. I'm thinking players like Bojan Bogdovic, Tari Eason, Rui Hachimura, Vanderbilt, Watanabe, Cam Johnson, Bey, or old favorite Burks for a season or two. This team won't overpay st the expense of team culture

Harden in a three way with Houston and Maxy to POR with asset. Lillards contract with Toronto seems a bit much. Other moves would have to happen for logic.
