Lol at calling Spo overrated and just brushing off two Finals appearances since LeBron because he had a B level star in Jimmy Butler. Those finals runs were extremely impressive and they knocked out way more talented teams and punched way above their weight. Knicks haven’t been to the Finals in a quarter century. You can’t just brush off Finals runs like that.

So in game 3 Towns was in drop coverage and left Tatum wide open. Is that Thibs going back to his favorite defense instead of switching defenses that worked? I would bet if that was Mitch, he’s not dropping he’s stepping up on Tatum.

I also said Thibs needed delon wright in these playoffs especially against Boston. Yet he rolls out sling shot Payne.

And whatever Thibs is doing to get these guys ready the last 3 games………….SCRAP IT………….it ain’t working.

Only thing I hope to see Thibs do next game is insist that JB start the game looking to get his teammates going. And finish strong. Whenever Brunson does this good things happen.

Thibs will coach us to a title and people will still want him gone for playing Josh or Mikal too much in some November game.

Said after game 2 that I thought that Thibs had earned another season. But if Boston had run off 4 straight wins my resolve would have been tested lol. But I still believe that we witnessed a level of preparation, that gave NY the edge. Sometimes it looks like it’s there, sometimes it doesn’t.

As others have mentioned, maybe some new faces sitting next to Thibs couldn’t hurt. Coaches that Thibs respects.

yup... both Det and Boston are good teams and they made moves to beat us and Thibs made all the right calls.

Assuming we put Boston away (no gimmie) we got the Pacers and Carlisle and honestly that's another coaching matchup in our favor. They are a deeper team so interesting to see how the rotations play out and if that helps or hurts us
