I still think he takes the Lakers job.

Yep, I don't see him coming here- might even end up coaching OKC

1. Westbrook is not a pg.
2. But he's one of the best defensive and athletic guards.
3. And one of the best scoring guards.

And pretty clutch too- with steals and shots. I like him, but he needs to be in the right environment, and OKC us the right environment for him.

May be a horrible pg, but he's an elite guard. I'd take him on my team in a heart beat.

After this loss I wonder if OKC would be interested in Tyson and JR? They need a big and JR would give them some scoring off the bench, and maybe some occasional duty as backup PG. With Durant and Westbrook he wouldn't have much work to do on that front.

Tyson has been doggin' it here from time to time, but I'm guessing he wouldn't in OKC with a legit contender, maybe OKC feels the same way. Have to throw in other players I guess to make it work. Have to have a look at the trade checker. Don't want Perkins though. Have a feeling he would be Tyson part deux in NY. Would want Jackson in that deal in return.

Perkins would have to come back if Tyson is involved.

Thunder in a weird spot, they need to upgrade bench and don't have a lot of salary trading to work with, and further may want to keep within some spending limits that other teams (outside of pure exception like SA) would go for.

Collison and Butler getting old and Fisher most likely gone. If they spend more they have options, otherwise it'll have to come from guys like Adams, Sefolosha, Lamb and maybe a FA that we can't predict.

Too bad about Perkins. IDK, they didn't get enough from those young guys this year to get to the finals, but they still have time to develop. The question is how long does mgmt want to wait on them? Durant and Westbrook are just starting their peak years and Durant has two years left (Westbrook 3) so they can afford to be a little patient. Doesn't help us unfortunately.

I'm curious to see if Brooks is brought back. I get the feeling that Mark Jackson would get the job if he isn't.

They're not far off, and Tim Duncan can't play forever. They'll be top dog in the West within 2 years if they can keep that group together.

There is the risk of the Clippers taking the next step. Glad I'm not the OKC GM- some very tough decisions for him this offseason.

Fair point. Still, the Thunder will at the very least be one of the main contenders in the West with the current group.

The Thunder are probably the best team in the West now, they just need to stop losing top players to injury at inopportune times.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
