Man what about George Karl?

If they keep saying Dolan will open up his wallet - lets seem him pry a coach away from a team thats winning. Lets see him solidify the front line, and lets see this backcourt do some damage when its time to step it up for the playoffs.

Watching all these games is making me sick with envy because our beloved Knicks cant make the post season. Last year it was a sweep and this year its NADA. Man its been a long long road since Camby got injured. We should have kept that guy.

No bigs whatsoever on this squad. We are def in trouble until that need is fixed.

Well, at least we will have more excitement in this year's draft... I guess...

it would be perfect especially if we don't pull off a major KG-like trade and the draft is all we have to look forward to which I think is most likely. The best coach to coach our drafted players would be the gyuy who drafted them and knows their strengths. He can let Steve Mills handle the GM duties or just hire someone else.

If we miss out o Phil Jackson and Pitino is not even in the mix than I'm all for Isiah coaching the team! Not having a great draft and then letting Herb ruin it by playing the same players he played this year.

Isiah as coach with Greg Anthony as GM!

check wfan.com he was on mike and the mad dog and said he'd love to be president of basketball operations and has spent a lot of time thinking about how he would build a team.

These TV guys get to really get in our heads!

Remember, they can offer all kinds of great ideas, but are not accountable for any of them!

LIke Rush phucking Limbaugh, its easy to be critical, its easy to suggest a fix after the fact, but he, nor many taking heads are accountable for the ideas that are not put into action.

Maybe Greg would do a go job, but he has never been in management, nor an assistant anywhere!

Larry Brown will be the next head coach. The Knicks will give the Pistons the Suns pick as compensation. The Pistons assistant I think his name is Mike Woodson was someone Isiah considered before hiring Lenny Wilkins. Woodson would then take over as Detroit's coach.

Isiah was unremarkable as president of the Raps, and cultivated young talent in Indiana, but got bounced out twice in the first round. Its not like he worked miricles with Jermaine O'neal, the boy grew to be a man and had talent. It was gonna happen. Bird had top assistant coaches and a very veteran team. Bird's coaching job was good, but he had a lot of help. In both cases, credit Donnie Walsh for constructing those teams.

Isiah came here with experience. We learn from our mistakes. TV announcers are not accountable for theirs. Its fogotten in no time.

What about Eric Musselman? Has he even been mentioned on this coaches corner? I remember that when he was fired many here though he could be a good candidate for us. What about him then? We need a guy that makes these players care to play defense, and be tough on them.

What about him?

If we can't get Phil Jackson or Larry Brown, my choice would be P.J. Carlesimo.

Flip Saunders and Maurice Cheeks are too nice and Herb Williams just sucks. P.J. has experience and is known as a task master, which is what this team needs. Plus his Portland teams of the mid-90's weren't bad. They were Top 10 Defensively 3/4 years. P.J. also has experience coaching good PG's in Rod Strickland and Kenny Anderson. He also has coached difficult personalites like Isaiah Rider and Rasheed Wallace. Plus I think P.J. will be very motivated. There will be a lot of doubters. You know P.J. will push this team hard and not take any bull****.

Why on earth would be keep that scrub Herb over P.J.? Can anyone give me ONE good reason?

If we get phil we build around Phil.

But What kind of team do we want? What is the vision of the team? Wanna run, then get a running coach.

Jerry Buss says he wants a proven winner. What do we want?

IT seems that for years we are driven by what players are available. That is why JVG never got to have a team built on his fundementals. Coaches should have the type of players they need to be sucessful.

OR, build a team and hire a coach to compliment each other!

Isiah, What is your vision????

we don't need Phil to get over the hump. We simply need a coach with a vision and identity, a coach that is known for defense. We have a bunch of puss around that need to be jumped on when they are not doing well on the defensive end....Carlesimo, Laimbeer are know for being voccal, that is what we need. Enough with the soft spoken, etc....We need a blue color worker

I mentioned him a few pages back. I think he's Rick Carlisle Jr. and the kind of young coach who's got a great mind for the game and can get it done. I think he was fired because he was a little too tough on the players in Gs and they didn't make progress in season 2, but the Bulls stuck around with Skiles who had the same rep, and they came a long way. I really like Musselman...if we're staying away from big names he's my top choice. But in NY, its all about the big name...

Who Musselman? He was born in Ohio, but is more or less a west coast guy according to the link below. His dad was former T'Wolves coach Bill Musselman, and it seems like he's a top candidate for the Minny job.

Yeah these guys have nothing to write about right now so I can barely read this stuff. They'll be like, Yes and "Blank" coach was the nephew of the mayor of chicago in 1974 so Isiah will be looking lin and hard at him as the possible new coach of the Knicks. In other news Stephon Marbury has proven himself to be the worst pg to ever play the game of basketball...
