I dunno dude. Feel like you misread stats and lace them with emotion. Bridges has a .600 TS% this year. Plays solid defense. His 50% FG% is second on the team only to Mitch Robinson. What is he doing wrong that you dislike him?
I’m sorry but those stats have to be skewed what did he go for last night? There was one point he was 1-7 and 2-8 till he hit the dagger 3 vs the lowly bulls . He’s been in quite the slump prior to the All-Star break.
I like bridges with the best of them. but if everyone’s being honest the dude is mediocre at best at everything. He plays extremely passive, almost like he’s too cool to give the effort . Can’t really handle the rock but doesn’t really move well off the ball either. His two pluses are he can hit the corner three and he’s an above average mid range shooter, who barely gets to the hoop and rarely goes to the free-throw line.
One thing that really blows my mind though is that people think that he’s a plus defender have you watched this guy play defense? It’s pretty much nonexistent. He constantly fades off his man and let’s open shots happen or he just lets his man go right by him.. I mean there’s a part of me that wonders if bridges is just disinterested because he really doesn’t play a role on the offense. but with the squad that we have, it’s hard to get bridges involved and when his shot isn’t falling, he’s pretty much worthless out there hence why you’re seeing Alvarado digging into his minutes and I don’t think that’s gonna change. Unless we get Brooklyn Bridges shining through here pretty soon, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
