Think we were down 30-24 when Kolek/Clarkson entered early in the 2nd and Kolek immediately found OG and Mikal for 2 3's to tie game.

Then there was a stretch mid-2nd where Yabu got his hands on 3 straight misses - either grabbing offensive board or causing us to get possession - mixed in there he had a pick/pop 3... in a nice stretch.

Then only up around 8 when Brunson checks back in late 2nd and we go on a quick barrage to move the lead to 20 at the 1/2.

Kat is so frustrating (primarily because he's so good) -- still with limited touches manages 26/13.
Jalen still hunting too much for my liking but looks good moving.

Some really nice moments with quick fast breaks - 1 with Hart/Jalen/Mikal and ball not touching floor.

OG/Mikal were clunky on offense --- thought Shamet has looked good and probably deserves more minutes.

Where was Huck last night??? Just a match-up thing???

Not sold on the small ball lineup versus the bigger lineup. But I guess time will tell. Bigger lineup just seems better to start games. Reminds me of the Warriors when they started guys like Bogut despite having the “death lineup”. Set the tone with the defense and size.

We went with the big lineup vs the Cavs. Brown went small to match the Celts small-ball lineup and it was a great adjustment. Deuce was the best defender on the court last night. It's only been 2 games and we are already seeing the Mike Brown affect. We rarely made adjustments last year despite what the match ups were, what the data said or what we all were witnessing. This is new, modern, and a breath if fresh air....

I love Josh. 14 boards, 3 assists, no TOs and I think he missed every shot. Still one of our best ball movers. When he and Mitch are healthy this squad is just suck. Hopefully his finger thing is sorted before the year ends

Also....

- This is how I love Hart to be used - limited minutes, all out effort.

Watching him last year for +30 minutes where he was resting or injured on D and guys blowing by him is not ideal - this Josh is an animal and I hope Brown gets his minutes/health just right.

- Yabu knocked someone out with a nice firm screen (thing of beauty).

- watching game was happy with Clarkson's D - getting over screens and moving his feet to keep guys in front. Noticed they gave him the game ball (contruction worker) for defense last night. I like that Clarkson is aggressive - like Kat his decisions on drives are somewhat maddening but I like the vibe he brings to team and that Brown has played him in some small ball line-ups.

Looks like Brown with mix/match Huck/Yabu/Jamison based on matchups while Mitchy keeps working on free throw form for 60 games on sideline.

Josh and Mitch are the ultimate wild card player who impact games so much and in just bonker ways. Maybe Clarkson is the same way ish?

I think eventually we settle on a starting lineup. I don’t think the Deuce lineup will end up being it. I may be wrong. Boston started the game shooting 55% and looking like world beaters in the 1st Q.

His 2s are much higher degree of difficulty than his 3s

NGL I am really loving what Brown is doing here. Love the offense, love the deep bench, letting guys like Kolek play through mistakes, KAT playing point Center, Brunson running around off ball like Curry. The hard hats awarded to defensive player of the game. All of this is great stuff.

I don't think rebounding is a Thibs thing. We just have a team of good rebounders. Mitch, Hart and Kat has some huge rebounding games.

Thibs made offensive rebounding dominance a major talking point over the years more than I’ve ever heard in my lifetime watching basketball. He had bad shooting teams top 5 in offense via offensive rebounding. That mindset was very much a Thibs installment.

Harts been a great rebounder for his Size since he been in the league. The same for Mitch and Kat has had huge rebounding games his whole career. We need to stop giving credit for players being who they are to coaches. If you was to say he got them to play hard even in the regualar season I would be with you 100% but this is who they been their whole careers. Thibs is not going to make Jaren jackson jr. get 10 rebounds a game because of some magical mindset.

What's up with Yabecelle, so far he hasn't really added any value. He is overweight and it shows in his play.

I mean 3 or 4 of those misses were one sequence where he got every rebound and only got fouled “once”. SVG called it Moses Malone-esque.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Mitch was trending to be the 5th starter...his health has Brown mixing and matching from the opening tip

That’s the trend. A constant state of roster uncertainty and trades to accommodate the void that Mitch regularly creates.
