Yeah, last year it would have been a pick between Yabu and Precious.

How’s his defense of rim protection?

I rather have Yabu at the 4 Hart.

Yabu allows us to play 5 and out. Opens the court for JB and company.

I love Mitch. He’s my guy. But if Yabu can guard 4s and 5s, he’s the perfect player next to Towns.

Maybe start Mitch, but give him limited mins to keep him fresh and allow Yabu to come off the bench, but play the same mins if not more than Mitch.

He’s developed such a simple yet effective game. Really nice to watch. Doing it all with what looks like no effort but it’s all effort.

I haven’t watched him much. So I did a very quick search on his defense and all I keep seeing is offensive highlights. Energy / momentum changing plays.

His defense must be good enough to hold his own. But he doesn’t appear to be a rim protector like money Mitch.

But he gives Brown a lot of rotation flexibility.

5 offensive rebounds too! Looks like he will fit right in.

Excited is an understatement!! Can't wait to see him play in the Garden. We didn't have a bench last year and now we added Yabu and Clarkson, and book it Pacome will emerge this season, as a rotation contributer.

2nd cycle. Trade deadline (nada) and this. It only improve absent unfortunate events. We are well placed going forward. This may be a scenario where a two year contract will be painful when he hits the open market.
You know I gonna spin wit it

Would the rules prevent us from extending him like Hartenstein ?

Yabusele is going to have an amazing year with the Knicks, but the team almost certainly has to trade him next offseason or lose him for nothing a year later ala Hartenstein.

Knicks went furthest in 25 years WITHOUT iHart.
Free Agent Randle and Free agent DDV go us KAT.
If knicks have an amazing year and go further we get our monies worth.
Lets see how Yabu works out and maybe we just do him for a longer contract? Or we wish him well and face the great unknown yet may find an even better fit?

Maybe we bring iHart back?

Yabu Mania on a good French team vs. Poland perhaps is a nice thing but lets not get too excited. Any NBA players on the Polish team?

Yabu played well in the olympics and earned his ticket back to the NBA.

Knicks may not even be able to keep him past this upcoming season, unfortunately

Or have to trade him at the deadline if a deal makes sense

Yeah, it’s a tough needle to thread any way you look at it.

At least it’s kind of a back handed win-win for Knicks and Yabu if both they and he are doing well.

If we go far this off season maybe they can get him if he declines his player option. But if he declines his option are they limited to how much mula the team can offer ? And hopefully his character inspires Dadiet and Diawara. Maybe they emerge to take his spot next season if he cannot be kept
